Despite facing many difficulties, in the first 4 months of 2025, the total import and export turnover of goods nationwide reached 276.89 billion USD, up 15.7% over the same period last year, of which exports increased by 13%.

Among export items, textiles and garments are the main commodity group. According to statistics from the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (Vitas), textile and garment exports in April earned more than 3.5 billion USD, up 13.9% compared to April last year. In the first 4 months of the year, the textile and garment industry's export turnover reached 13.78 billion USD, up 10.1% over the same period.

To overcome this difficult period, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vinatex Le Tien Truong proposed that enterprises in the system strengthen chain linkages, build and share a list of domestic raw material sources when making export goods.

Rural Economy : Untapped Resources

In recent years, Hanoi has paid special attention to developing the rural economy through many models and diverse economic activities with positive results... However, in reality, this resource in localities has not been fully exploited, and many potentials have been left untapped.

Chairman of Thanh Oai District People's Committee Bui Van Sang said that the biggest shift in the rural economy in recent years is the development of new-style cooperatives and high-tech agricultural models. For example, Thanh Oai currently has 13 high-tech agricultural models, 3 closed-chain models and nearly 20 new-style agricultural cooperatives.

On the Hanoi side, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen shared that, with the orientation of green urban areas, the countryside and rural economy must also develop green and clean. In the coming time, Hanoi's rural economy will develop more agricultural and rural tourism, thereby increasing community connectivity, building a green, clean, beautiful countryside, preserving the "soul" of the countryside in the integration trend.

In response to Micronutrient Day, on June 1 and 2, nearly 400,000 children from 6 to under 36 months old in Hanoi will be taken by their relatives to 1,602 drinking points to receive vitamin A supplements, be weighed and assessed for nutritional status, and receive nutritional advice...

Director of Hanoi Social Protection Center 3 Tran Thi Hai shared that among the more than 170 social protection beneficiaries being cared for and nurtured at the Center, there are many children who were abandoned in hospitals, in the community, or are in need of urgent protection. Among them, there are cases of congenital heart disease, leukemia, brain tumors, malnutrition, etc.

Discussing the Vitamin A Supplementation Campaign in Hanoi, Director of the Hanoi Center for Disease Control Bui Van Hao shared that the program's goal is for over 99.8% of children from 6 to under 36 months old to take high doses of vitamin A; over 95% of children under 5 years old to be weighed and measured for height to assess the rate of malnutrition (weight/age)...

In recent years, as the demand for pets (dogs, cats, etc.) has increased, pet care and treatment services have also flourished. However, veterinary service fees at private clinics and hospitals have shown a lack of transparency and control by authorities.

Ms. Nguyen Thu Huyen in Ha Dong district said: “I had to spend more than 10 million VND for my dog to be hospitalized for 20 days to treat hemorrhoids. The inpatient treatment alone cost 500,000 VND/day, not including medicine and surgery.”

Head of the Department of Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Veterinary Medicine (Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Environment) Nguyen Dinh Dang informed that private veterinary facilities are allowed to operate when they meet the requirements on personnel, facilities and are licensed according to regulations. Currently, each place has different levels of investment in facilities, infrastructure, equipment and human resources, so the prices are also not uniform.

Dich Vong Hau Ward (Cau Giay District) has many schools, hospitals, administrative centers, agricultural wholesale markets, student night markets... so the population is dense and diverse.

Speaking with a reporter from Hanoi Moi Newspaper, Mr. Truong Van Hung, an officer in charge of urban order in Dich Vong Hau ward, admitted that there are still many violations of urban order in the ward.

In fact, although the Dich Vong Hau ward government has taken measures to rectify violations of urban order in the area, violations are still common and complicated.

"In the coming time, the ward will continue to strengthen inspection and handling of violations of urban order," said Mr. Truong Van Hung.
