At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Minh Tri said that as of February 15, 2025, the province had 4,430 foreign investment projects with a total registered capital of nearly 42.5 billion USD. Of which, the United Kingdom ranked 23rd out of 65 countries and territories investing in Binh Duong with 21 projects, total investment capital of over 127 million USD.

Professor Andrew Atherton said that Navitas Education Group was established in 1994 in Perth, Australia. The group has 30 years of experience in the field of international education. Navitas provides study programs to 56,000 students from 130 countries each year, through a network of 70 colleges and universities in many countries. Navitas is cooperating with the University of Southampton to establish a branch of the University of Southampton in Vietnam.

Professor Andrew Atherton hopes that through the survey and research trip, the University will promote investment and establish a branch of Southampton University in Binh Duong, especially training human resources for the province.
