Dong Nai Province and Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics build cooperation program

(DN) - On the morning of November 11, comrade Le Truong Son, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee chaired a working session with Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics to agree on cooperation contents for the period 2025-2030. At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son suggested and discussed with the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City about the contents that Dong Nai province wishes to cooperate in the coming period. In particular, the province wishes the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City to research and advise on improving the quality of annual socio-economic growth associated with the province's planning in the new period; focusing on the development linkage orientation of the province with the Southern Key Economic Zone, the Central Highlands, especially the linkage with Ho Chi Minh City to exploit the maximum potential and advantages as the leading economic center of the country. In particular, in the research and consultation process, it is necessary to pay attention to the Resolution of the 1st Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, especially the breakthrough goals, targets and tasks.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son said: The Long Thanh International Airport project is about to be put into operation, the province has also exploited Phuoc An Seaport, and connected with Cai Mep - Thi Vai Seaport. Along with that, the province's multi-modal transportation system is being urgently completed. In the near future, the province will have high-tech industrial parks, large-scale concentrated information technology centers, thus attracting huge investment and creating momentum for development and breakthrough growth, so the province hopes to receive strategic and appropriate advice for the province.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son requested Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics to focus on researching and consulting on many issues such as: innovation, start-ups; school and hospital management; high-tech agricultural development, tourism. Pay attention to solutions to train provincial and commune-level officials on innovative thinking, improve management capacity according to the 2-level local government model.

At the meeting, a representative of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics shared: For many years, the university has had a cooperative relationship with Dong Nai province. This cooperation is highly valued by the provincial leaders, evaluated as effective and hoped to continue to be promoted in the new period.

Representatives of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics highly appreciated the cooperation proposals of the provincial leaders and wished to implement the signing as soon as possible.
