December 9 ,   The National Assembly listened to the Government Inspector General Doan Hong Phong report on anti-corruption work in 2025. According to Mr. Doan Hong Phong,   In 2025, under the centralized and unified leadership of the Party Central Committee, directly and regularly led by the Politburo and the Secretariat, headed by General Secretary To Lam; the close and effective accompaniment and coordination of the National Assembly; the participation of the entire political system; the consensus and active participation of the people and the business community; the support and assistance of international friends, the Government and the Prime Minister have focused on directing and operating resolutely, handling a very large, complicated, and unprecedented amount of work in a very short time, especially the implementation of the revolution in organizational apparatus and implementation of two-level local government .   C work   prevent corruption, waste, and negativity   continue to be promoted, with new, more drastic and effective steps at both the central and local levels, receiving public opinion and support, and high appreciation.

The Government Inspectorate has focused on the work of preventing and combating waste, in conjunction with the work of preventing and combating corruption; has promptly inspected and issued the Inspection Conclusion on the Investment Project to build a new facility 2 of Bach Mai Hospital and Viet Duc Hospital under the direction of the General Secretary. Currently, the Government Inspectorate has issued a plan and deployed the entire Inspectorate to conduct 2 large-scale inspections nationwide.   including : inspecting projects with difficulties and problems; inspecting and preventing waste in the management and use of housing and land facilities of state-owned agencies, organizations and enterprises under the direction of the Steering Committee and the Prime Minister.

In addition, the State Audit recommended financial handling of VND 34,628 billion and more than USD 125 million; proposed to cancel, amend, supplement and issue new 180 documents, including:   6 Decrees; 11 Circulars and 163 other documents.

Investigation agencies in the People's Public Security force   Investigated 1,363 cases with 3,187 defendants for corruption crimes. Concluded investigations and recommended prosecution of 813 cases with 2,044 defendants.   The Criminal Investigation Agency of the Ministry of National Defense has initiated investigations into 14 cases with 19 defendants; proposed prosecution of 8 cases with 37 defendants.

People's Procuracies at all levels have accepted and resolved 1,077 cases with 3,060 defendants .   1,041 cases with 2,931 defendants were resolved. People's Courts at all levels resolved 1,188 cases with 3,061 defendants, of which 975 cases with 2,386 defendants were tried. The total number of cases requiring enforcement of civil judgments on corruption and economic matters was 10,393, of which 7,888 cases were eligible for enforcement and 6,471 cases were completed.

However, according to Mr. Doan   Pink   Wind,   Institutionalization and overcoming loopholes, obstacles, inadequacies and overlaps in a number of areas are still slow and have not met practical requirements in a timely manner; Some corruption prevention measures have not been fully implemented; Some cases and incidents have had to be temporarily suspended due to defendants fleeing or the lack of results of foreign judicial assistance; the value of assets to be recovered is still large; Corruption, waste and negativity in a number of areas are still complicated; harassment and inconvenience to people and businesses have not been thoroughly resolved.
