Mass wedding ceremony for 80 couples on Vietnam Happiness Day

“Vietnam Happy Fest 2025” is associated with the “Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam” Human Rights Media Award, an annual award approved by the Government to encourage the creation of photos and videos about Vietnam and its people on digital platforms. Launched in 2023, the award has attracted more than 35,000 entries from within and outside the country.

Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Director of the Department of Grassroots Information and External Information (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) said: "The year 2025 marks an important milestone when Vietnam moves up 8 places, reaching 46th place in the world happiness rankings. This is a step forward demonstrating the international community's recognition of Vietnam's policies and efforts in ensuring human rights and improving the quality of life.

From those values, the Happy Vietnam 2025 Award continues to be launched, aiming to honor meaningful moments of political , economic, cultural and social life.

This year, the opening ceremony will take place on the morning of December 6 at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, introducing the festival's key activities.

Also on the morning of December 6, a mass wedding ceremony of 80 couples with the theme “Couple Day - Love is Happiness” will be held. Inspired by the 80-year journey of “Independence - Freedom - Happiness”, the program honors 80 beautiful love stories, representing faith, love and connection in modern life. This is considered one of the emotional highlights of this year’s festival.

On the evening of December 6, the Happy Vietnam 2025 awards ceremony will announce outstanding photo and video works along with the "Lighting Up Vietnam Happiness" ceremony.

The art night “Happy Vietnam” (December 7) will close the festival with the participation of many young artists such as Lam Bao Ngoc, Bui Cong Nam, Bridge Band and artists from theaters under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The program is open to the public free of charge.

During the three days of the festival, display - exhibition - experience activities will appear throughout the walking street. Highlights include the exhibition "Happy Vietnam", digital interactive area, outdoor art stage, happiness map, photo booth, happiness prism, "Health is happiness" activity and "Sharing happiness" space. All contents aim to convey the message: happiness exists in the simple things of daily life.

The community activity “Happiness Tree” at the Ly Thai To Monument area will take place for 3 days. People can write wishes and send messages of love on the “happiness tree” - a cultural symbol of the community associated with the wish for national peace and prosperity, and a peaceful life.

On December 7, about 800 people will participate in the Vietnamese costume parade "Bach Hoa Bo Hanh", recreating traditional costumes through many periods and aiming to set a record for the number of people wearing Vietnamese costumes in a parade.

In addition, the workshop “Prism of Happiness” (December 6-7) at the Ho Guom Cultural Information Center creates an opportunity for photography enthusiasts to practice creating images and discuss with experts about techniques, style and personal branding.

“Vietnam Happy Fest 2025” is not only a cultural and entertainment activity but also an opportunity to spread humanistic values, affirming the image of Vietnam as peaceful, compassionate and full of sharing. The festival is expected to become a new symbol of a happy, modern and unique Vietnam.
