Comrade Tran Quang Khang - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lai Chau province and Comrade Tran Trung Hieu - Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism co-chaired the program.

Attending the Seminar were representatives of leaders of departments and units under the two Departments; leaders of the People's Committee and the Department of Culture - Society of the communes/wards: Ta Leng, Sin Suoi Ho, Doan Ket, Tan Phong; Center for Investment Promotion and Financial Services Consulting of the province; Tourism Association, Travel Association and travel businesses specializing in the international market (Inbound) of Hanoi and Lai Chau; representatives of tourist areas and spots in the province.

In his opening speech, Mr. Tran Quang Khang - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lai Chau province emphasized: If in the past Lai Chau was often seen as a stopover and transit point between Sapa (Lao Cai) and Dien Bien , now Lai Chau tourism has gradually affirmed its position with typical products such as: ASEAN community tourism village Sin Suoi Ho; paragliding adventure tourist destination "Flying on the roof of Indochina" associated with Dao cultural experience at Si Thau Chai; O Quy Ho Heaven Gate tourist area, Rong May glass bridge; Pusamcap cave complex - "The first cave in the Northwest"; trekking and hiking tours during Rhododendron flower season on Hoang Lien Son range.

Currently, the province has 02 tourist areas, 21 provincial-level tourist spots, 01 ASEAN community tourist spot; 03 provincial-level festival tourism products; a system of tourist facilities including 138 accommodation establishments (01 5-star hotel, 35 hotels from 1 to 3 stars with more than 1,500 rooms), 150 restaurants and 16 tourist transport units.

Comrade Tran Quang Khang - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lai Chau province delivered the opening speech.

He also provided more information about key infrastructure projects such as the Lai Chau - Lao Cai expressway connecting Hanoi and the Hoang Lien tunnel project, which has started construction, helping to shorten travel time and open up new development space for Lai Chau tourism.

At the Seminar, delegates watched a report introducing the province's potential, advantages and destinations; at the same time, delegates and travel businesses objectively assessed the strengths and weaknesses through a field survey program in Lai Chau.

Many enthusiastic opinions of delegates were given to improve product quality, especially for the Inbound market - a group of customers with high requirements for experience and service: It is necessary to perfect community tourism products associated with preserving landscapes and cultural identity; upgrade destination infrastructure, ensure safety for tourists (especially at Pusamcap cave, trekking spots); build a high-quality tour system, with clear schedules, suitable for the Inbound market; diversify communications, develop social networking channels in tourist villages; strengthen official promotional materials; add medical hotline numbers, first aid kits at homestays; improve hygiene and food safety; exploit more agricultural tours (such as ginseng planting), cultural experience tours, fairs; develop trekking, bicycle, and motorbike routes; build performance stages to serve tourists; expand sales points of OCOP products, traditional handicrafts; improve the quality of tour guides...

Receiving opinions at the Seminar, comrade Tran Quang Khang thanked the delegates and affirmed that Lai Chau is always ready to provide information and support travel businesses in building and implementing tours. He emphasized that the province is prioritizing the development of community tourism, adventure tourism, agriculture and health care; at the same time, he hoped that businesses would continue to accompany and effectively exploit the potentials, contributing to spreading the image of "Lai Chau - a safe, friendly and attractive destination" to domestic and international tourists.
