On the morning of November 25, in Ho Chi Minh City, Tien Phong newspaper held a press conference to announce the first Tien Phong Half Marathon - 2025. Although newly established, Tien Phong Half Marathon fully inherits the extensive organizational experience, pioneering spirit and nearly seven decades of prestige of the National Marathon and Long Distance Championship of Tien Phong newspaper - the oldest running tournament in Vietnam, closely associated with the development of the country's sports movement.

In the Q&A session of the press conference, journalist Phung Cong Suong - Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong newspaper , Head of the Organizing Committee, said: Tien Phong Half Marathon marks the expansion of the organization method of Tien Phong newspaper . The Organizing Committee will re-evaluate the entire organization process in Ho Chi Minh City this year to consider expanding the distance from 21 to 42 km, and at the same time choose a suitable location through discussions with professional units, sponsors and localities.
