Overview of the proposed trillion-dollar facility to be used as a school and hospital

The former administrative-political center located in Ba Ria ward (HCMC) with an investment capital of more than VND1,000 billion is proposed to be converted into an educational facility.

This facility is located on an area of ​​about 20 hectares, started construction in 2009 and completed in 2012 with a total investment of more than 1,000 billion VND.

The facility consists of 2 areas: Area 1 at No. 1 Pham Van Dong Street (Ba Ria Ward) has a land area of ​​about 147,856m², floor area of ​​about 204,499m².

Area 2 at 179 Bach Dang Street (Ba Ria Ward) has a land area of ​​about 29,120m², floor area of ​​about 33,030m².

The Department of Finance is proposing to hand over this facility to Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy, both as a training facility and to organize medical activities.

According to the Department of Finance, the above plan will contribute to improving the efficiency of management and use of real estate assets through centralizing the management, operation and maintenance of the building's synchronous technical systems. At the same time, it will create favorable conditions for linking the training of medical staff and doctors with professional practice activities right at the facility.

Currently, the hall of this facility is still used by departments, branches and sectors to organize programs and events.

Between the blocks is a ^14,000m2 lake, more than 1.4m deep, creating a highlight and openness.
