I have no pressure to surpass Phuong Nhi at Miss International 2024

Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy (born in 2002) was crowned Miss Vietnam 2022. In addition to the prestigious crown at this beauty contest, the beauty from Da Nang also won the Sports Beauty sub-award. She entered the Top 7 Media Beauty and Top 5 Charity Beauty in the Miss Vietnam 2022 contest.

The beauty born in 2002 is 1.75 m tall with sexy measurements of 80-63-94 cm. Before being crowned Miss Vietnam 2022, Thanh Thuy won the Miss Student Award at the University of Foreign Languages ( Da Nang University in 2021), 1st Runner-up of the Elegant Students - Students Contest of Da Nang City in 2021. She is one of 36 students who have the opportunity to exchange students at Ubon Ratchathani University, Thailand.

Dan Viet reporter had a conversation with Miss Thanh Thuy about her journey to conquer the Miss International 2024 crown, which is attracting the attention of the beauty-loving community.

Miss Thanh Thuy competes in Miss International 2024: "I don't allow myself to relax"

Information about Miss Thanh Thuy - Vietnam's representative at Miss International 2024 received support from the beauty-loving community. However, there are opinions that Thanh Thuy should participate in Miss World . So what does the reigning Miss Vietnam 2022 say about this?

- I am very grateful and appreciate the love and support that the audience has given me. Each beauty contest has different evaluation criteria and I personally feel no regrets because I trust the choice of Ms. Pham Kim Dung (Chairman of Miss World Vietnam; Miss Vietnam, Miss Grand Vietnam - PV), director Hoang Nhat Nam as well as the management company. I think at the present time I am also suitable for Miss International and I am also ready for the journey at the contest at the end of this year.

What makes Miss Thanh Thuy think she is most suitable and confident at the Miss International 2024 contest?

- I also have some basic skills in catwalk, performance and in the future I will continue to practice and improve. Besides, I also researched and learned from my seniors about the criteria and things to note to prepare myself well for this year's competition.

Is the participation of a Miss Vietnam in the Miss International 2024 contest with Thanh Thuy an advantage for you to be highly appreciated and favored by the Organizing Committee?

- I think that to be highly appreciated by the Miss International Organizing Committee, contestants must make an effort to express themselves and show many unique aspects of the people and country they represent, not just based on the titles they have achieved domestically.

The title of Miss Vietnam has created a foundation for me to continue to develop and show my colors. Certainly, I will have to learn, try harder, and be more confident to be able to conquer this year's contest.

With many competitions such as: interview, bikini performance, behavior... within the framework of the Miss International 2024 contest, which competition is Miss Thanh Thuy most confident in?

- For me, every performance, every skill is equally important. And I always keep a confident and comfortable mindset whether it's performance, appearance or behavior, because I think when I'm ready, I can do my best.

Besides, I also do not allow myself to relax and always learn and improve more in each competition.

Miss Thanh Thuy talks about her goals at Miss International 2024

With the achievement of Top 15 Miss International   2023 of runner-up Phuong Nhi once made many people regret and expect Miss Thanh Thuy to surpass this achievement. Are you pressured by Phuong Nhi's ranking?

- I think Phuong Nhi had a memorable journey at Miss International 2023. And surely Phuong Nhi also had many valuable experiences throughout the contest. So as someone who followed Phuong Nhi's journey, I also feel proud because Phuong Nhi tried her best at the contest.

I also do not feel pressured or burdened with the mentality of having to surpass Phuong Nhi in this competition. Instead of comparing myself to someone else, I will focus on pursuing my goals and trying to do my best in the competition.

Having not hesitated to publicly admit that she had plastic surgery, what other body parts does Miss Thanh Thuy currently want to "upgrade" before competing in Miss International 2024?

- Currently, I am quite satisfied with my appearance and have no intention of changing it.

While studying at 2 universities, how is Miss Thanh Thuy preparing for the Miss International 2024 contest?

- In addition to studying at two universities, the management company also supports and creates conditions to help me improve and train myself by participating in many artistic activities to gain more experiences and valuable lessons in each milestone and journey I go through. I will also take more skill classes and learn from the experiences of my seniors to be able to perform my best in this year's competition.

What goals and rankings does Miss Thanh Thuy set for herself at the Miss International 2024 contest?

- I always set goals to motivate myself. However, I do not put too much pressure on myself about the ranking in the Miss International 2024 contest.

My goal is to perform my best in the competitions, prepare thoroughly in all aspects to score points with the Miss International 2024 Jury, and aim for the best results to not disappoint everyone's expectations.
