Le Au Ngan Anh was crowned Miss Ocean 2017. She then participated in the Miss Intercontinental 2018 contest and won 4th runner-up.

After returning from this beauty contest, the beauty from Tien Giang gradually withdrew from showbiz, focusing on studying and researching. She graduated with a Master's degree with honors in International Event Management from the University of Salford (UK) and is currently a lecturer at Hoa Sen University.

Talking to PV Dan Viet , Miss Ngan Anh revealed her decision to become a university lecturer. Miss Ocean 2017 also denied rumors that she "went into hiding" to avoid the noise and scandal after her coronation.

"Studying for a Master's degree was my parents' plan after I graduated from university. My parents are quite strict and demanding. So even though the school encouraged me to participate in beauty contests, I did not register. It was not until I had completed my studies that I secretly registered for the Miss Ocean Vietnam 2017 contest and won the highest position.

It seemed like I was caught up in that cycle and then I had the opportunity to look back at myself and know my limits. I realized that my personality was not very suitable for showbiz! At that time, I felt that I was not good at communicating, being an entertainer, and I did not have the talent to use social networking sites to create sympathy and attract people. I called myself quite "bland" (laughs)" , Miss Ngan Anh shared with Dan Viet.

Miss Ngan Anh: I used to be afraid of being told "I teach just to show off"

The beauty from Tien Giang also admitted that, faced with mixed opinions from the community after being crowned Miss Ocean Vietnam 2017, she also wondered whether the path she had chosen was right or not. "At that time, I asked myself whether I should continue to try to perfect my appearance and image to gain sympathy from the public or not? I thought that if I was criticized for not being good or not good, I would prove the opposite about myself. However, at that time, I was quite naive to think that I could change people's minds.

I also tried to attend events in the early period after the coronation and adjusted myself. For example, when I knew that I was not suitable for heavy makeup, I used lighter makeup, actively participated in community activities... But perhaps that time was not enough for people to see me as a person and the truth is that I lost a lot of balance after the coronation.

Meanwhile, a beauty queen, after her term ends, needs to continue her activities to maintain her popularity in showbiz. The title of Miss Ocean Vietnam 2017 also gave me a stepping stone, but in the long run, I think I need to build my own career. I decided to enroll in a Master's degree in the UK, perhaps that's why many people thought I was "in hiding" at that time," she shared.

It is known that Miss Ngan Anh completed her Master's thesis in International Event Management at the University of Salford (UK) at the end of 2019. She received an invitation to teach from Hoa Sen University right after graduating from university. "Actually, I was very hesitant because if I accepted, this would be a new challenge for me. Because I am quite an introvert, not good at speaking in front of a crowd. If I went to teach, I would have to share for hours, imparting knowledge to students.

On the other hand, I also had the fear that if I did not do well as a lecturer, I would once again face pressure from negative comments, even being "exposed" online. I was very afraid of being told "I teach for show", "I teach for the sake of it"... Therefore, I also discussed with the school and decided to overcome the pressure and try my hand at a new role. I improved my skills and expertise and learned from my colleagues how to manage a class. At that time, I only thought I could teach for about 2 years to get used to theeducational environment", said Miss Ocean 2017.

Referring to her future plans, Miss Ngan Anh shared with Dan Viet : "I still want to open for myself an educational environment, training soft skills for children and Vietnamese teenagers who do not have many opportunities to interact with the social environment. Currently, I have worked at the school for nearly 3 years and find myself compatible with the students. Even when there are negative comments and reviews about me on social networks, when those people may not have met me in real life, it is the students who defend me."

Miss Ngan Anh shared more: "Being able to accompany students on their journey to maturity, being able to share with them not only the lectures in class but also being trusted by them to confide stories in their lives, that is the luckiest thing for me. People say that I am on a mission to serve to "nurture knowledge", but simply for me on this journey I feel happy".

Currently, Miss Ngan Anh is admired by many people because of her increasingly successful career and her happy family with her husband, BTV Phan To Ny. The couple is waiting to welcome their first child at the end of this year.

Miss Ngan Anh's husband is BTV Phan To Ny (born in 1990) currently working at Ho Chi Minh City Television Station.
