The Art Program to Celebrate the 103rd Birthday of Musician Do Nhuan is directed by the Hai Phong City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee; and implemented by the Hai Phong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The program is a tribute from Hai Phong city to the contributions of musician Do Nhuan and to honor the massive musical heritage of the great tree of Vietnam's revolutionary music, the founder of the Opera musical genre in our country.
The late musician Do Nhuan was born on December 10, 1922 in Hoach Trach village, Thai Hoc commune, Binh Giang district, Hai Duong province (now Duong An commune, Hai Phong city).

During his musical career, Musician Do Nhuan has won awards such as: Second Class Independence Medal; First Ho Chi Minh Prize (1996); Second Class Soldier Medal; Second Class Victory Medal. Currently, his name is given to a street in Hanoi.
The special art program “Do Nhuan - Sound of Life” under the orchestral direction of Associate Professor, Dr. Musician Do Hong Quan - Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, with the participation of an experienced team such as Major General - Musician Duc Trinh (Program Manager) and famous artists such as People's Artist Pham Phuong Thao, Meritorious Artist Duc Hoai, Lan Quynh, and the collective of Hai Phong Contemporary Arts Theater, the audience was able to admire a high-quality performance in both content and form.

The music and dance performances combined with the presentation of documents skillfully depicted the important creative milestones of Musician Do Nhuan, from works bearing the heroic historical sound of the nation's struggle to lyrical songs rich in human emotions. This event once again affirmed the lasting value of the musical treasure he left behind - the "sounds of life" that have become invaluable spiritual assets of Vietnamese culture and art.
Notably, organizing a large-scale art event like "Do Nhuan - Sound of Life" right at the City Convention and Performance Center at this time has a double meaning.
This is not only an activity to pay tribute to the talented artist but also a strong affirmation of Hai Phong city in implementing the project “Building Hai Phong to become a city of music”. This ambitious project aims to bring Hai Phong into the UNESCO network of creative cities in the field of music.

Through the successful organization of high-quality art programs, Hai Phong is proving its ability to become a music center with its own identity, a place where modern breath and Eastern cultural spirit intersect, contributing to building a new, civilized, modern and compassionate Hai Phong people.
The program ended with warm applause, opening a new chapter for the development of cultural and artistic activities in the Port City, where music will play a prominent role in sustainable development in the future.
