Honoring the glorious 80-year journey of the Vietnamese National Assembly

On the afternoon of November 14, at the National Hero Nguyen Trung Truc Monument Park, Rach Gia ward, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the People's Committee of An Giang province to organize the opening ceremony of the large-scale propaganda poster exhibition to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026).

This is the first exhibition in the country to honor the glorious 80-year journey of the Vietnamese National Assembly , always accompanying the nation in the struggle for independence, freedom, national unification and development in the period of innovation, international integration, entering a new era.

The exhibition takes place from November 14 to 29, 2025, displaying 150 large-scale propaganda paintings, selected from professional and amateur artists across the country.

In his opening speech, the representative of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism emphasized that the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly is an opportunity for the entire Party, people and army to review the history of formation and development, and affirm the great achievements that our National Assembly has achieved over the past 80 years. Through the language, images and colors of the propaganda paintings, the exhibition conveys the propaganda content about the meaning of the first General Election; expresses the Vietnamese people's aspiration for independence and freedom; affirms the Party and President Ho Chi Minh's absolute belief in the patriotism of our people.

With typical works such as: "Welcoming the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly", "80 years for independence, freedom, happiness", "Science, technology, innovation and digital transformation are the main driving forces for socio-economic development"... by authors from all over the country, vividly demonstrated the strength of the great national unity bloc and the aspiration for independence and freedom of the Vietnamese people.

Mr. Nguyen Van Mao, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of An Giang province, stated: The exhibition is a practical activity with profound political and social significance, aiming to widely propagate the historical, cultural and revolutionary traditions of the nation, educate patriotism, national pride, and sense of responsibility of each citizen towards the Fatherland. This is also an opportunity for people and tourists inside and outside the province to enjoy and admire works of high ideological and artistic value; an opportunity to promote the image of people, culture and tourism potential of An Giang province to friends in the region and the whole country.

The exhibition of propaganda paintings commemorating the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam takes viewers back in time to relive the sacred historical moments of the nation.
