Honoring the noble image of Uncle Ho's soldiers

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day, on the evening of November 14, in Hanoi, the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army held a ceremony to summarize and award the national video clip contest "The Soldier I Love" and the national writing contest "Stories in the Company". The ceremony was broadcast live on the Vietnam National Defense Television Channel and a number of local television stations across the country.

Attending the ceremony were Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Standing Member of the Central Military Commission, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; Senior General Nguyen Tan Cuong, Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Member of the Central Military Commission, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Deputy Minister of National Defense ; representatives of leaders of Central Committees, Ministries, branches and the Ministry of National Defense; Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; Lieutenant General Truong Thien To, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; Lieutenant General Pham Truong Son, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army.

Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant General Truong Thien To, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, Head of the Steering Committee of the contest, emphasized that the contest has attracted a large number of officers, soldiers and people to participate with many works of good quality, rich in content and approach. At the same time, it has closely followed the theme and content, focusing on deeply reflecting the activities of officers and soldiers of the entire army in performing training tasks, combat readiness, cultural and sports activities, production labor, mass mobilization work, participating in natural disaster prevention and control, search and rescue, and defense foreign affairs.

In addition, there are also vivid perspectives, images, and beauty of Army officers and soldiers in their daily lives at their units and families; examples of wounded soldiers and veterans who are pioneers, role models, dedicated, and responsible in socio-economic development, scientific research, and in the fight against corruption, negativity, "self-evolution", and "self-transformation", clearly demonstrating the will and spirit of a humane soldier. Many stories and actions are very valuable and worthy of honor, shining a light on the noble image of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the new era.

Lieutenant General Truong Thien To hopes and believes that the military press in general and the Military Radio and Television Center in particular will promote the achieved results, continue to promote the propaganda of the Party and State's guidelines and policies and the country's military-defense guidelines; on building a lean, compact, and strong Army; building a national defense foundation associated with the people's security posture. Actively research, innovate, and create content and form, effectively coordinate with central and local radio and television stations on the digital platforms of press agencies to propagate, further highlight and deepen the functions of the combat army, the working army, and the production labor army of the Vietnam People's Army; be ready to take charge of difficult tasks, areas, and locations; promptly detect, reflect, and commend good models, good practices, and advanced typical examples to create a widespread influence on the noble image of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the new situation, contributing to strengthening the overall strength to build and firmly protect the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to 160 best works; including 9 A Prizes, 18 B Prizes, 24 C Prizes, 29 Encouragement Prizes to authors of the national video clip contest "The Soldier I Love"; awarded 8 A Prizes, 15 B Prizes, 25 B Prizes, 35 Encouragement Prizes to authors of the national writing contest "Stories in the Company".

The video clip contest “The Soldier I Love” and the writing contest “Stories from the Company” are an opportunity to pay tribute to the soldiers of the Vietnam People’s Army; beautiful stories about them are forever a source of motivation, contributing to promoting national pride and patriotism in every Vietnamese person./.
