General Secretary To Lam sincerely thanked the Duke and Duchess and the British Royal Family for their special affection for Vietnam, for the General Secretary and his wife personally, and for the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation. Vietnam and the UK have had a long-standing relationship with increasingly close ties.
The General Secretary said that during the visit at the invitation of Prime Minister Keir Starmer, the two sides discussed many important issues to agree to elevate the cooperative relationship to a new level, at the highest level of trust. The General Secretary was pleased that this policy was strongly supported by the Duke and the British Royal Family.

Duke Charles Henry Gordon-Lennox was delighted to welcome General Secretary To Lam and his wife and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation to their official visit to the UK.
The Duke also expressed his delight that the two countries' cooperative relations have developed very well and that during this visit, the two sides upgraded their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and expanded cooperation in all fields.
The General Secretary shared that he had several occasions to visit the UK and was very impressed by the beautiful nature combined with ancient architecture.
The General Secretary highly appreciated the Duke and Duchess's wholehearted devotion to activities to preserve the architecture and historical landscape of Goodwood House, a unique cultural heritage that has been preserved for many generations and to develop this place into an international cultural, sports and arts center.
Vietnam also highly values and makes efforts to preserve and promote traditional cultural heritages, considering them as the nation's internal resources and strength, and believes that the two countries with rich and long-standing cultures can further expand people-to-people exchanges and extensive cooperation in the fields of culture, arts, and sports.
These cooperation and exchange activities will contribute to enriching and deepening the comprehensive friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and the UK.
Duke Charles Henry Gordon-Lennox said that although he has not had the opportunity to visit Vietnam, he has seen and heard many good things about Vietnam. He hopes to have the opportunity to visit Vietnam soon to witness the dynamic development as well as admire the beauty and traditional culture of Vietnam.
The Duke expressed his hope to soon have the opportunity to invite General Secretary To Lam and his wife Ngo Phuong Ly to visit Goodwood House.

The two ladies share an interest in art, in preserving and developing the unique cultural heritage of each nation and believe that art, culture and sports are the bridges that help people come closer together to expand cooperation to other fields.
The two ladies also expressed their concern for the care and education of children. This is also preparing for the future with generations of useful citizens.
Madam Ngo Phuong Ly affirmed her wish to have the opportunity to discuss childcare activities and learn from the Duke's wife's experiences.
On this occasion, General Secretary To Lam respectfully invited Duke Charles Henry Gordon-Lennox and his wife to soon arrange a visit to Vietnam to have more opportunities to discuss cooperation areas, especially cultural and people-to-people exchanges.

On the afternoon of October 29, in London, General Secretary To Lam received General Secretary of the Communist Party of Great Britain Robert Griffiths.
General Secretary To Lam said the visit aims to contribute to strengthening the cooperative relationship between the two countries. Vietnam wishes to learn from the UK's experiences to help build major policies and orientations for national development in the new period.

General Secretary To Lam affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to developing cooperative relations with the UK and hopes that both sides will promote the cooperative achievements they have made, continue to promote the positive development momentum of bilateral relations, and bring bilateral cooperation to new heights.
To further promote cooperation between the two Parties, General Secretary To Lam suggested that the two sides consider the possibility of implementing theoretical exchange activities and sharing information on the situation and viewpoints of each Party on regional and world issues.
The two sides closely coordinated and conveyed information on the situation and Vietnam's foreign messages to members of the Communist Party of Great Britain and the British people to create understanding and actively support Vietnam and the bilateral relationship.
General Secretary To Lam hopes that the Communist Party of Great Britain will support and coordinate in reviewing and collecting traces of President Ho Chi Minh during his time in the UK, including documents on the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
