General Secretary To Lam attends State reception in Laos

(Dan Tri) - General Secretary To Lam affirmed that strengthening and expanding cooperation and sustainably developing the special solidarity relationship between Vietnam and Laos has strategic significance, meeting the aspirations of the people of the two countries.

Within the framework of the State visit to the Lao People's Democratic Republic, attending the 50th National Day Celebration of the Lao People's Democratic Republic and co-chairing the High-level Meeting between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, on the evening of December 1, in Vientiane, General Secretary To Lam and his wife, along with the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation attended a State reception hosted by General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith and his wife.

In an atmosphere of friendship, Lao General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith warmly welcomed General Secretary To Lam and his wife and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation to their State visit to the Lao People's Democratic Republic; emphasizing that the visit brings the friendship, solidarity and warmth of the Party, State and people of Vietnam to the Party, State and people of Laos.

The Lao Party General Secretary and President highly appreciated the results of the talks between the two sides, which took place in an atmosphere of mutual understanding and strategic trust. The two sides reached a high consensus on the bilateral cooperation relationship in the past time and the direction of cooperation in the coming time.

On the basis of inheriting and promoting the special traditional relationship, the two sides agreed to upgrade the Laos-Vietnam relationship to a new height: great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation, and strategic cohesion.

This is a testament to the common vision, coordination for strategic interests and planning directions to move forward together for sustainable, strong development and common prosperity of the two peoples of Laos and Vietnam.

General Secretary To Lam shared that every time he visits the beautiful country of Laos, he feels the warm affection of his comrades and brothers.

General Secretary To Lam affirmed that in the current context, strengthening and expanding cooperation and sustainably developing the special solidarity relationship between Vietnam and Laos has even more strategic significance, meeting the earnest aspirations of the people of the two countries, contributing to peace, stability and development in the region and the world.

On this occasion, General Secretary To Lam respectfully sent to General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith, Party and State leaders and all Lao people his warmest congratulations on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (December 2, 1975 - December 2, 2025); wished the Lao people, under the leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, to achieve many new and greater victories in the cause of national construction and development; wished the great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation and strategic partnership between Vietnam and Laos to be forever green and sustainable.
