On the morning of November 2, General Secretary To Lam and a Central working delegation inspected natural disaster prevention and control work and visited people affected by floods in Quang Dien commune (Hue city).
General Secretary To Lam personally traveled to Chua hamlet, Mai Duong village, an area isolated by rising floodwaters over the past several days. By canoe, the General Secretary and members of the delegation visited, encouraged and presented gifts to households facing difficulties.

Here, the delegation gave gifts directly to 3 households in Khuong Pho Dong village, including Mr. Nguyen Chung and Mr. Ho Phuoc, and another household that was severely affected by deep flooding. The remaining gifts were authorized by the local authorities to be delivered to the people as soon as possible.
After visiting the flooded area, General Secretary To Lam and his delegation went to the People's Committee Hall of Quang Dien commune to meet, encourage and give gifts to local people. The General Secretary praised the proactive response of the government and people, and emphasized the task of continuing to ensure safety of life, promptly overcoming the consequences of floods and soon stabilizing people's lives.

The visit demonstrates the deep concern of the Party and State for people in flood-affected areas, providing more motivation for people to overcome difficulties and restore production and life after natural disasters.
