Northern Power Corporation urgently recommends calling on people to raise awareness of complying with the power grid safety corridor.

The Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC) emphasizes that seemingly simple acts such as flying kites, lighting fires, or fishing under high-voltage power lines can cause serious danger to life, damage property, and lead to widespread power grid failures. To ensure absolute safety and maintain a stable power supply, EVNNPC recommends that customers and residents strictly implement the following 5 electrical safety measures:

Cutting and pruning tree branches: When cutting and pruning tall tree branches that are at risk of falling onto power lines, people need to have someone to supervise safety and ensure a safe distance. It is best to contact the local Electricity Management Team for coordination and advice on safety measures.

Construction: Any construction activities near power lines or transformer stations that are at risk of violating electrical safety distances must immediately contact the Regional Electricity Management Team for coordination and advice on safety measures.

Burning flammable materials: Absolutely DO NOT burn straw, votive paper or other flammable materials under or near power lines to avoid causing short circuits or explosions.

Releasing flying objects: It is strictly forbidden to fly kites, metal balloons, drones or any other flying objects that could collide with the power grid. If an object gets caught in a power line, absolutely DO NOT climb the pole or use a long object to remove it.

Fishing: Be extremely careful to ensure safety when fishing under high voltage power lines, avoid accidentally getting the fishing line caught in the power lines causing life-threatening accidents.
