Northern Power Corporation: making comprehensive efforts to reach the finish line, towards a new development stage

The Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC) has deployed working delegations to work with its affiliated Power Companies to review the implementation of the production, business and investment development plans for the 2021-2025 period. This activity aims to comprehensively assess the results of the past 5 years, point out difficulties and shortcomings, and propose orientations and solutions for the coming period - towards the goal of comprehensively completing the 5-year plan and preparing for the 2026-2030 development strategy.

Persevering through difficulties to reach the finish line comprehensively in all fields

Through the review of units, EVNNPC recorded many positive and consistent results in the fields of production, business, investment and customer service. In the period of 2021 - 2025, in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, fluctuations in the world situation caused an energy crisis, leading to inflation, causing fuel prices to skyrocket, and many socio -economic fluctuations. The Northern power infrastructure was still guaranteed to operate safely and stably, serving well for economic development, social security and national defense - security.

Power Companies have proactively invested in upgrading the power grid, applying new technologies in technical management, operations and business; strongly transforming digitally in all activities, contributing to improving labor productivity, reliability of power supply and customer experience. EVNNPC directs corporate governance towards streamlining, efficiency, increasing autonomy and responsibility of leaders.

In the period of 2021-2025, digital transformation is identified by EVNNPC as a strategic pillar. The entire Corporation has synchronously deployed digital solutions in engineering, business, investment, finance and internal management; expanded the remote electronic meter system, online electricity services throughout the process, cashless payment; applied artificial intelligence and big data analysis in operation management.

Thanks to that, customer service is increasingly professional, transparent, friendly and modern, affirming the image of the Northern Electricity industry as dynamic, innovative and dedicated to customers.

Towards the digital future – Developing for customers and the community

In addition to the outstanding results, EVNNPC also pointed out a number of challenges that need to continue to be resolved such as site clearance at a number of projects, requirements to reduce power loss, ensure investment progress and improve power supply reliability.

The Corporation requires units to proactively propose solutions, improve management capacity, accelerate construction investment progress, increase the application of digital technology and automation, while maintaining stable production and business, ensuring safety and energy security in all situations.

Speaking at the working sessions, Chairman of EVNNPC Board of Members Do Nguyet Anh emphasized: “The results achieved in the past 5 years are a clear demonstration of the spirit of solidarity and continuous efforts of all EVNNPC officers and employees. This is the solid foundation for the Corporation to confidently enter a new stage of development - more modern, more efficient and serving customers better.”

Sharing the same view, EVNNPC General Director and Deputy General Directors in charge of the field all requested the units to continue promoting the spirit of innovation and creativity, enhancing digital transformation, strengthening grid safety and developing high-quality human resources - considering this as the key for EVNNPC to make a breakthrough in the period 2026-2030.

With a solid foundation after 5 years of implementing the development strategy, EVNNPC is gradually perfecting the modern management model, promoting comprehensive digitalization and expanding safe, reliable and environmentally friendly power supply solutions.
