General rehearsal of the 2nd Vietnam-Cambodia Border Defense Friendship Exchange Program

Attending the rehearsal were Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Minister of National Defense; Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Minister of National Defense; representatives of the command of agencies and units of the Ministry of National Defense , leaders of Tay Ninh province, and agencies and units stationed in the area.

In order to ensure the smooth implementation of exchange activities according to the scenario, the delegation rehearsed the activities within the framework of the exchange, inspected the locations with the participation of the Defense Ministers of the two countries at Moc Bai International Border Gate and some locations where activities within the framework of the exchange will take place.

At the locations, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien and Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang drew on on-site experience and directly gave instructions to agencies, units and forces on matters related to organization, reception, decoration, security and safety.

Recognizing the agencies, units and forces that have promoted the sense of responsibility, made efforts, actively and proactively carried out preparations for the exchange, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien requested to continue to closely coordinate with the police force and local authorities, to review the final preparations in all aspects, to ensure that the activities within the framework of the exchange take place as planned, solemnly, successfully and absolutely safely in all aspects.

As planned, the main activities within the framework of the 2nd Vietnam-Cambodia Border Defense Friendship Exchange will take place from November 13 to 14 in Tay Ninh province (Vietnam) and Svay Rieng province (Cambodia).

Joint medical exercise of the two countries.

Within the framework of the general rehearsal, a joint exercise of the two countries' military medical teams was carried out with the theme "Vietnam-Cambodia disaster relief medical team practices emergency rescue and transportation of victims in disasters" with a force of 127 people (45 Vietnamese military medical staff, 20 Cambodian Royal Military Medical staff, 10 civilian medical staff, other forces including fake victims, ambulance carriers, drivers, emergency staff... 97 people) with 10 cars (7 cars with Vietnamese license plates, 3 cars with Cambodian license plates), 2 helicopters, military medical tents, medicine, some new equipment made in Vietnam...

Military medical staff from both countries, in coordination with local health agencies and relevant units, provided free medical examination and treatment to nearly 2,000 people from both countries in areas near the border.
