In 2025, units in the Lai Chau Procuracy sector strictly complied with the 2025 Working Directive of the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Procuracy. The organization, dissemination and implementation were carried out seriously and comprehensively, ensuring quality, closely following the core tasks of the sector, in accordance with the practical situation of each unit and locality. The People's Procuracy at two levels proactively implemented many measures to improve the quality and effectiveness of the practice of the right to prosecute and supervise criminal trials, contributing to preventing injustice, mistakes and criminals from escaping.

The two-level People's Procuracy has organized and comprehensively implemented 135/135 professional targets of the sector, in which many targets exceeded high targets such as: Directly supervising the handling of information sources about crimes; participating or directly taking statements, questioning suspects; determining key cases; organizing trial sessions to draw experience; leading the Institute to directly exercise the right to prosecute and supervise trials; directly supervising the People's Committees of communes with criminal sentences in the community; issuing preventive recommendations in resolving civil and family cases; directly supervising the Civil Judgment Enforcement Agency; directly verifying conditions for civil judgment enforcement... Achieving and exceeding 7 targets under the authority of the provincial-level People's Procuracy out of a total of 12 targets assigned by the National Assembly to the People's Procuracy sector.

In 2025, the situation of violations and crimes decreased by 218 cases/355 defendants compared to the same period last year; 647 sources of information about crimes were received; 594 sources of information were coordinated to be resolved, reaching a rate of 92%; 18 direct inspections were conducted to resolve sources of information about crimes (exceeding the target by 13 cases); 883 cases/1,227 defendants were investigated and prosecuted (a decrease of 218 cases/355 defendants compared to the previous year), 665 cases/891 defendants were prosecuted and resolved (reaching a rate of 75.3%).

Continuing to promote the achieved results, in 2026, the entire Lai Chau Procuracy will focus on continuing to do a good job of disseminating and studying the Party's directives, resolutions, guidelines and policies, and the State's laws and policies; continue to focus on performing well the functions and tasks of the sector in practicing the right to prosecute, especially the tasks and powers of the procuracy in prosecution, investigation, prosecution and trial; fighting against injustice, mistakes, and missing criminals; innovating content and methods, performing well the functions and tasks of the sector in supervising judicial activities, strengthening the work of detecting and replicating good experiences and practices for research, study and application in the two-level procuracy...
