On the afternoon of November 13, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, General Secretary To Lam received Comrade Li Shulei, Politburo member, Secretary of the Secretariat, Head of the Propaganda Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, on the occasion of Comrade Li Shulei's visit to Vietnam and co-chairing the 20th Theoretical Workshop between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Communist Party of China.

General Secretary To Lam sent his warm regards and best wishes to General Secretary and President Xi Jinping and key Chinese leaders; congratulated the Communist Party of China on successfully organizing the 4th Central Conference of the 20th tenure and agreeing on the direction for building the 15th Five-Year Plan, opening a pivotal period for China to continue implementing its long-term development goals.

Head of the Central Propaganda Department Li Shulei respectfully conveyed the regards and best wishes of General Secretary and President Xi Jinping to General Secretary To Lam; expressed congratulations on Vietnam's great development achievements and the smooth implementation of reform measures under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, headed by General Secretary To Lam, and affirmed that the Communist Party of China supports the Communist Party of Vietnam in successfully organizing the 14th Party Congress.

Comrade Ly Thu Loi expressed his sincere thanks to General Secretary To Lam and General Secretary and President Xi Jinping for sending congratulatory letters to the 20th Theoretical Workshop; and was pleased to report to the General Secretary that the two sides had successfully coordinated to organize the special Workshop, which was carried out according to the common understanding of the two General Secretaries to have a profound and comprehensive exchange on the path to socialism of the two countries in the new era and period of development.

Expressing his delight at the positive developments in the Vietnam-China relationship in recent times, General Secretary To Lam highly appreciated the results of the recent especially important visit to Vietnam by General Secretary and President Xi Jinping; affirming that Vietnam always attaches importance to and gives top priority to developing relations with China. The General Secretary emphasized that in the new era of development of the two nations, the two Parties and two countries need to continue to cooperate in solidarity, and walk hand in hand towards socialism. Vietnam is determined to work with China to deepen the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership, promote the building of the Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future, which has strategic significance, entering a new stage, becoming increasingly comprehensive, profound and sustainable.

General Secretary To Lam suggested that both sides focus on consolidating the important foundations of bilateral relations: Continuously strengthening political trust and strategic coordination between the two countries; promoting the special role of Party channel cooperation and improving the effectiveness of cooperation mechanisms at all channels and levels; promoting higher-level connectivity between the two economies; promoting balanced and sustainable trade development; further connecting science and technology, especially in key new fields; enhancing high-quality human resource training; consolidating a solid social foundation, improving the effectiveness of cooperation in culture and tourism, and stepping up propaganda and education on the Vietnam-China friendship. The General Secretary suggested that both sides work together to maintain a peaceful and stable environment for mutual development.

Expressing his appreciation and approval for General Secretary To Lam's profound instructions on promoting relations between the two Parties and countries, Comrade Ly Thu Loi affirmed that China always considers Vietnam a priority direction in its neighborly foreign policy; is ready to work with the Party and State of Vietnam to well implement high-level agreements and common perceptions, enhance political trust, deepen substantive cooperation, and raise the level of cooperation in the fields of culture, education, tourism, and people-to-people exchange.

Comrade Li Shulei emphasized that the theoretical and propaganda agencies of the Chinese Party and State will continue to closely coordinate with the corresponding agencies of Vietnam, further promote exchanges, cooperation, and experience sharing in Party building and national governance, strengthen friendly propaganda, consolidate a good social foundation, and contribute to enriching the content of the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership and the China-Vietnam Community of Shared Future, which has strategic significance./.
