The meeting aims to promote cooperation between Vietnam and Canada, as well as discuss issues related to the local Vietnamese community. The meeting may include the implementation of economic, cultural and social development programs, support for overseas Vietnamese, as well as enhancing the connection between organizations, businesses and local authorities. The Consulate General of Vietnam in Vancouver plays an important role in supporting overseas Vietnamese as well as Vietnamese localities in connecting with partners in Canada. Through activities, events and programs, the Consulate General not only creates conditions for Vietnamese businesses and individuals but also promotes economic, cultural and educational cooperation between the two sides. In addition to providing necessary information, advice and support to the Vietnamese community in Canada, the Consulate General also organizes seminars, exchanges and connections to help Vietnamese partners seek cooperation opportunities as well as expand the market. They can also help in resolving legal issues, paperwork or other obstacles that overseas Vietnamese and localities may encounter in the process of connection and cooperation. Consul General Phan Kieu Thu emphasized that the Vietnamese representative agency in Vancouver always attaches importance to coordination and support for localities in the country, especially in economic diplomacy, cultural diplomacy and consular work - citizen protection; affirming that in the coming time, it will continue to pay attention and make efforts to act as a bridge, supporting the provinces of Gia Lai, Ha Nam , Ha Tinh, Hoa Binh, Thua Thien - Hue and Yen Bai to strengthen relations with partners in Canada in general and BC province in particular. Previously, on April 25 in Vancouver, a delegation from 6 provinces also visited and discussed with Dan-D-Food Group, invested by Vietnamese people, with a revenue of about 300 million USD/year and a plan to return to Vietnam to invest in processing agricultural products and confectionery for export to the North American and Canadian markets./.Bich Huong
