At the headquarters of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - on behalf of the Vietnam Trade Union presented 1 billion VND to support the locality to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
Speaking at the program, the leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor expressed their deep sympathy to the people, union members and workers of Hue City who suffered losses due to floods; at the same time, they affirmed that the Vietnam Trade Union will continue to accompany, care for and support the labor force as well as the locality in the process of recovering from natural disasters. Representatives of Hue City and the Hue City Fatherland Front Committee expressed their appreciation for the timely and practical support from the Trade Union organization.

Immediately after the support handover ceremony, the delegation went to Victortex Hue Company Limited (Quang Dien Commune) to give 60 direct support packages to workers who were severely affected by the flood. The delegation also visited, burned incense and encouraged the family of a union member who died in the flood in Vy Da Ward, and shared the loss with the victim's relatives.
The activities taking place on November 10 demonstrated the spirit of mutual love, social responsibility and solidarity of the Trade Union organization towards union members, workers and communities in disaster-hit areas; at the same time contributing to supporting Hue City to quickly overcome the consequences and stabilize people's lives after the storm and flood.
