Head of the Department of Fisheries, Seas, Islands and Fisheries Control Tran Xuan Tien said: The target of aquatic product output in 2025 is 139,270 tons, an increase of 1.2% over the same period last year, reaching 100% of the plan. Of which, the output of aquatic exploitation is 116,480 tons, the output of aquaculture is 22,790 tons.
To achieve the set goals and plans, in the coming time, the unit will continue to guide and direct fishermen to proactively monitor the weather, actively exploit fishing grounds according to regulations and in accordance with the profession; guide the organization of seafood exploitation production at sea in groups, solidarity teams, cooperative groups, and offshore groups to support and share in searching for fishing grounds and exploitation objects, improve production efficiency and promptly support rescue when situations arise.
In addition, the unit will continue to propagate, guide and widely disseminate to localities on the work of preventing and combating IUU fishing, protecting aquatic resources; advise on the implementation of Decision No. 48/2010/QD-TTg to ensure strict compliance with regulations; effectively implement policy models to support the development of agricultural , rural and aquatic production in the province, contributing to encouraging and creating resources for the development of aquatic exploitation.
