According to the announcement of the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association, in October 2025, domestic consumers consumed a total of 37,910 vehicles, an increase of 24% compared to the previous month. This figure does not include the sales results of Hyundai Thanh Cong and VinFast .

Sales of domestically assembled cars reached 17,129, up 19% compared to the previous month. Sales of imported cars were 20,781, up 28%. Although the Vietnamese auto market continued to improve, the models in the top worst-selling cars in October 2025 remained unchanged compared to previous months.

Honda Accord: 5 cars
October 2025 witnessed the return of the Honda Accord to the number 1 position in the top 10 worst-selling cars in Vietnam. Sales of this D-class sedan reached 5 units, no increase or decrease compared to the previous month. The presence of the Honda Accord in this top 10 is no longer surprising. The reason this car model is ignored by Vietnamese people is because of its high price, starting from 1.319 billion VND, only 1 version, plus the design and equipment have not been upgraded for a long time.

Ford Mustang Much-E: 8 cars
October 2025 is the second month that the Ford Mustang Much-E electric car has been sold in the Vietnamese market. At the same time, this is also the second month that this car model has appeared in the top 10 worst-selling cars in the Vietnamese market. Last month, the Ford Mustang Much-E only sold 8 cars, down 38.4%. Imported completely, the Ford Mustang Much-E has a starting price of up to 2.599 billion VND.

Suzuki Jimny: 17 cars
Ranking in 3rd place in the top 10 worst-selling cars in Vietnam in October 2025 is Suzuki Jimny. This model sold 17 units, an increase of 30.7%. The above results are probably partly due to the incentive program of up to 95 million VND for Jimny in October 2025. This is the highest incentive level of Suzuki Jimny since its launch in the Vietnamese market in March 2024.

Kia Soluto: 22 cars
Kia Soluto was once again named in the top 10 worst-selling cars in the Vietnamese market. Sales last month of this B-class sedan only reached 22 units, a growth of 22.2%. In contrast to competitors in the same segment such as Honda City or Toyota Vios, Kia Soluto is not very attractive in the Vietnamese market because of its unattractive design and equipment.

Kia K5: 23 cars
The K5 is the second Kia model to appear in this top 10, after the Soluto. In October 2025, Vietnamese people bought 23 Kia K5s, an increase of 21%. In addition, the K5 is also the second D-class sedan to appear in the top 10, after the Honda Accord. This further proves that Vietnamese consumers are no longer interested in D-class sedans.

Toyota Corolla Altis: 29 cars
The 6th position in the top 10 worst-selling cars in Vietnam in October 2025 belongs to Toyota Corolla Altis. This C-class sedan sold 29 units, a growth of 70.5%. Although the growth rate is high, the actual sales are too low, causing Toyota's car to once again "reside" in this top 10.

Kia Morning: 29 cars
October 2025 saw the return of Kia Morning in the top 10 worst-selling cars in Vietnam. Sales of the car reached 29 units, equal to Toyota Corolla Altis, and decreased by 9.3% compared to the previous month. Kia Morning in Vietnam was upgraded in September 2025 with improved design and equipment.
11-6735.jpg
Toyota Alphard: 31 cars
Alphard is the next Toyota model to appear in this top 10, after Corolla Altis. 31 cars were sold, an increase of 6.8%. It is not surprising that Toyota Alphard is in the top 10 worst-selling cars in the Vietnamese market. With a selling price of 4.37 - 4.475 billion VND, this MPV model, dubbed the "ground plane", is not for the majority.

Isuzu mu-X: 33 cars
Ranked next is the Isuzu mu-X - another familiar face in the top 10 worst-selling cars in the Vietnamese market. This mid-size SUV has sales of only 33 units, a growth of 120%. The Isuzu mu-X in Vietnam does not have many competitive advantages because of its picky design. In addition, the Isuzu brand is mainly associated with trucks instead of passenger cars.

Toyota Land Cruiser: 44 cars
Land Cruiser is the third Toyota model in this top 10. Sales results of the car in October 2025 reached 44 units, down 36.2%. Similar to Toyota Alphard, Land Cruiser is a picky car model in the Vietnamese market because of its high price, up to 4.58 billion VND and constant shortage.
