Vietnamese tourists tend to travel abroad more during the 2025 Tet holiday, many tours are fully booked a month in advance, according to Mr. Tran Dang Thanh, CEO of Orion Travel.
"This year, Vietnamese tourists prefer to travel abroad, especially to the Chinese market. Chinese tours are rich in destinations and have cheap prices, so many tourists are interested. Currently, all tours to this market are sold out," said Mr. Thanh.
Some cheap China tours that attract customers are Jiuzhaigou - Jiaguoshan 6 days 5 nights priced at 13.5 million VND/person, Guizhou tour 4 days 3 nights priced at only 6.9 million VND/person, Beijing - Shanghai tour 6 days 5 nights priced at 17.4 million VND/person, Kunming - Dali tour 4 days 4 nights by road priced at 7.6 million VND/person, Phoenix Ancient Town tour 6 days 5 nights priced at 10.9 million VND/person...
In addition, some 5-day, 4-night Thailand tours also cost only 10 million VND/person, 5-day, 4-night Korea tours cost 19.9 million VND/person...
According to Mr. Thanh, with the above prices, the cost of an overseas trip is only equal to some domestic destinations, so many people choose to go abroad during the 2025 Tet holiday.
Meanwhile, in the domestic market, the number of tourists during the 2025 Tet holiday also increased sharply, some localities such as Phu Quoc, Nha Trang, Da Lat... all recorded a high increase in the number of visitors, many hotels and accommodation areas announced full rooms.
According to experts, Vietnam tourism is in the peak season of welcoming international visitors from October of the previous year to March of the following year. Therefore, in the last months of the year, Vietnam's tourism industry will experience a boom period, aiming to complete the goal of welcoming visitors in 2024.
