Can Tho City has 2 new members of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists

Accordingly, 53 artists were admitted as members of the Vietnam Association of Artists (AVAPA), 4 artists were awarded the title of Excellent Artist of the Vietnam Association of Artists (E.VAPA), 1 artist was awarded the title of Special Outstanding Artist of the Vietnam Association of Artists (E.VAPA/G), 23 artists were awarded the title of Artist with Outstanding Contribution of the Vietnam Association of Artists (ES.VAPA).

The Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists also awarded Certificates of Merit to 13 groups and 65 individuals for their outstanding achievements in 2025. 13 members and 3 individuals outside the association were awarded the Medal for the development of Vietnamese Photography.

Regarding the Outstanding Photography Awards, the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists awarded 2 gold medals, 3 silver medals, and 10 bronze medals for photographic works and 1 silver medal and 4 bronze medals for works on Critical Theory and Photo Books.

Among these, Can Tho City has 2 artists admitted as members of the Vietnam Association of Artists, Le Tuan Anh and Nguyen Quoc Toan.

Artist Hoang Kim Thanh was awarded the title ES.VAPA and the Medal for the Development of Vietnamese Photography.

The Vietnam Association of National Artists in Can Tho City and individuals: Do Thien Thanh Tung, Dinh Cong Tam, Nguyen Hien Thanh, Le Phuong Bang, To Hoang Vu, Van Ngoc Nhuan, and Vu Thong Nhat were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Vietnam Association of National Artists.

The special thing in this list of awards is journalist and writer Vu Thong Nhat, although not a member of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, in 2025, he participated in the editorial board of the photo book "Southwestern Resistance - History through the lens (1945-1975)". The book was launched on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025), creating a great resonance.
