Can Tho City organizes activities to celebrate the New Year 2026 and the Year of the Horse

(CTO) - Can Tho City People's Committee has just issued a Plan to organize activities to welcome the New Year 2026 and "Celebrate the glorious Party - Celebrate the Spring of Binh Ngo 2026".

The art light street is the highlight of Can Tho city.

New Year 2026 activities include:

- Decorating the City's Art Light Street, from December 22, 2025 to June 15, 2026, on the following routes: Hoa Binh , April 30 (section from Tran Van Hoai - Quang Trung - Vo Van Tan - City People's Committee roundabout).

- The 2026 New Year's Eve Art Show will be broadcast live on Can Tho Newspaper, Radio and Television. The show will take place at 8:00 p.m. on December 31, 2025, at Song Hau Park, Cai Khe Ward.

- Following the art program is the Countdown program welcoming the new year 2026, scheduled from 9:30 p.m.

Activities to celebrate the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2026):

- Visit the martyrs' cemetery in the city.

- Offering incense in memory at Uncle Ho's Temple in Luong Tam Commune, An Thanh Commune and Uncle Ho's Monument in Ninh Kieu Wharf.

- Meeting to celebrate the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam at the Can Tho City Party Committee Hall. The program will be broadcast live on Can Tho Newspaper, Radio and Television at 8:00 a.m. on February 3, 2026.

Activities "Celebrating the glorious Party - Celebrating the Spring of Binh Ngo 2026":

Tourists experience the spring flower market.

- The New Year's Eve art program "Celebrating the glorious Party - Celebrating the Year of the Horse 2026" will be broadcast live on Can Tho Newspaper, Radio and Television at 8:00 p.m. on the 29th day of the 12th lunar month, at Song Hau Park, Cai Khe Ward. The program is on a grand scale, with the participation of singers and artists from Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho City; the stage, sound and lighting are invested in modern design, applying new technology to create vivid and attractive artistic effects.

- The New Year's Eve Countdown program takes place after the art program, from 9:30 p.m.

- The fireworks show to celebrate the Year of the Horse begins at New Year's Eve, with high-altitude fireworks displays at Song Hau Park.

- The Military and Civilian Tet is held in February 2026, in the commune and ward areas.

- Cultural, artistic and entertainment activities for children in February 2026 at Luu Huu Phuoc Park and Children's Cultural House.

This year's spring flower street is still held on Vo Van Tan - Nguyen Thai Hoc street like Tet At Ty.

- Artistic flower street, serving visitors from the 27th to the 5th of the Lunar New Year, Binh Ngo, on Vo Van Tan - Nguyen Thai Hoc street, Ninh Kieu ward.

- Meeting of artists, press, coaches, and outstanding athletes on the occasion of Spring Binh Ngo 2026 on the 22nd day of the 12th lunar month.

- "Spring colors of the garden" program at the City Museum, from December 18 to 22 of the lunar calendar.

Festival of "Music, folk songs, spring skits 2025.

- The festival "Spring music, folk songs, skits 2026" from the 15th of December to the 23rd of December of the lunar calendar. Performances are scheduled at Bach Dang Park, Phu Loi ward and Xa No Park, Vi Tan ward. The closing ceremony is scheduled at Ben Ninh Kieu Park, Ninh Kieu ward.

- Can Tho City Open Sports Cycling Tournament "Celebrating the glorious Party - Celebrating the Year of the Horse 2026", held on the 21st day of the 12th lunar month at Hau River Park.

- National 125cc - 150cc Motorcycle Racing Tournament 2026 on the afternoon of the 4th day of the Lunar New Year at Can Tho Stadium.
