Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Week has a series of exciting tourism events to stimulate domestic and international tourism, promote year-end tourism economic growth and welcome the new year 2026.
This is also an opportunity for Ho Chi Minh City to introduce a series of new, creative and high-quality tourism products, synchronized between 168 wards, communes and Con Dao special zone.
168 featured tourism products, why not?
On December 6, at a meeting with representatives of 168 wards, communes, special zones and press agencies of Saigon Tourist Corporation ( Saigontourist Group), Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa - Chairwoman of the Board of Members of Saigontourist Group - affirmed that cooperation with 168 wards and communes of the city and strategic media partners will be a way to contribute to the goal of making Ho Chi Minh City a leading destination in Asia.
"Saigontourist Group will develop into the leading national hotel group in Vietnam, with a solid position in the region and internationally. And to do this, it is necessary to start from a real connection at the grassroots, where there is heritage, people and local stories," said Ms. Hoa.
This year's Tourism Week marks the first time that 168 wards, communes and special zones of Ho Chi Minh City have participated simultaneously, creating the largest scale of dissemination ever. Contributing to enhancing the image of the city's destinations, stimulating sustainable tourism and widely introducing new destinations, products and tours typical of each locality, helping people and domestic and international tourists to access more easily.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet - Deputy General Director of Saigontourist Travel - said that the new urban space after the merger is an opportunity to build a chain of tourism products within Ho Chi Minh City in the period of 2025 - 2030 with a systematic nature, connecting more closely between wards and communes; both serving the city's people and contributing to creating more attraction for domestic and foreign tourists.
Preparing for the peak season at the end of the year, this unit has launched a series of new products with an urban feel such as "Saigon's Saturday afternoon song"; "Following the footsteps of Saigon Special Forces"; "Saigon's hundred-year heritage" or the "run - row - chill" tour that takes tourists jogging to welcome the sunrise at Ba Son bridge, rowing SUP on the Saigon river and enjoying green riverside cuisine. Routes to Can Gio - Sac forest or ancient inner-city pagodas have also been added, completing the picture of experiences in Ho Chi Minh City.
According to businesses, if each ward, commune, and special zone can build a tourism product, tourists only need to "go to one city" but can "touch 168 experiences" that are both new and different.
Series of events, exciting new tour series
During the weekends, a series of cultural and culinary events took place throughout the city, creating a festive atmosphere everywhere, including: Cho Lon Food Festival - Food Story 3 (from December 5 to 7) with 60 Vietnamese and Chinese booths; Southern Cuisine and Traditional Cake Week 1 (from December 4 to 10) at Binh Tay market. In addition, there was the Recycled Costume Festival - Dinh River in Me (December 12), the photo contest "Check-in Phu Nhuan, every day is renewed" and spaces to promote culture and amateur music in Binh Thanh.
Travel agencies simultaneously launched incentive programs, service packages and year-end promotional products. The Department of Tourism also encouraged businesses to develop green, sustainable tourism products in line with the new trends of the industry.
According to the city's Department of Tourism, many new tourism programs and services were announced on this occasion, such as "Cultural experience - Tan Dinh imprint" (Tan Dinh ward); "Touching the old traces" (Binh Tay ward); "Xuan Hoa - Old features in the new town" (Xuan Hoa ward); tour "For a green Con Dao - Green on every journey" or tour "Sunset cruise on Indochina Star cruise".
Mr. Nguyen Van Dung - Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee - commented that with the city's open, modern and creative spirit, the 5th Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Week in 2025 is the beginning of a series of new tourism activities, introducing typical tourism products, continuing to affirm the city's appeal as an inspirational, energetic destination that is constantly changing, reaching new heights.
"Through the week, the city hopes to create a vibrant experiential space, spread the festive spirit, stimulate tourism, trade and cuisine at the end of the year. Open up opportunities for businesses to introduce new products, strengthen market connections and join hands to build a friendly, safe and sustainable tourism environment," he shared.
