According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health , the locality is currently dealing with five epidemics at the same time: dengue fever, hand, foot and mouth disease, pink eye, monkeypox and COVID-19.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health has just announced that in the past week, Ho Chi Minh City has discovered 6 more cases of monkeypox, bringing the total number of cases in the city to 19 (including 2 imported cases and 1 exit case to Taiwan (China)).

Currently, Ho Chi Minh City is isolating and treating 12 cases of monkeypox, all of whom are in stable health condition.
In addition, since the beginning of the year, Ho Chi Minh City has recorded a total of 14,126 cases of dengue fever. Last week, the city also recorded 422 more cases of dengue fever, an increase of 5.3% compared to the average of the previous 4 weeks.
Districts with more than 100,000 cases include District 1, District 8 and Binh Thanh District. Currently, Ho Chi Minh City is treating a total of 200 cases of dengue fever, including 103 adults and 96 children.
The number of hand, foot and mouth disease cases in Ho Chi Minh City since the beginning of the year is about 30,000. Last week alone, Ho Chi Minh City recorded 1,532 cases of hand, foot and mouth disease, an increase of nearly 1.5 times compared to the average of the previous 4 weeks.
Districts with more than 100,000 people infected include Binh Tan District, Nha Be District and Binh Chanh District. The city is currently treating 346 cases of hand, foot and mouth disease, of which 103 cases are located in Ho Chi Minh City.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health said it has been proactive in responding and successfully decoding the genes of the viruses that cause monkeypox and pink eye.
The Ho Chi Minh City Health Department continues to closely monitor the epidemic situation and promptly respond to any possible situations.
