On the morning of December 9, at the Ho Chi Minh City Press Center, a training conference was held with the participation and chairing of Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Center Nguyen Duc Chung. Also attending were officials and civil servants in charge of information technology at the grassroots level.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Center Nguyen Duc Chung said that from July 1, 2025, the new Ho Chi Minh City government apparatus will operate under a two-tier model after the merger, leading to a wide scope of management and increased technical workload. In the initial phase, many grassroots IT staff encountered difficulties in infrastructure management and operating shared systems, especially at commune and ward levels.
Therefore, the training is organized to standardize operating skills, improve the consistency, safety and efficiency of key technical systems such as: specialized data transmission networks, data centers and online meeting systems.
“The digital infrastructure of the (new) Ho Chi Minh City must be operated synchronously, stably and absolutely safely to serve the people and businesses,” Mr. Nguyen Duc Chung emphasized.
Starting from December 5, 2025 to December 19, 2025, the City Digital Transformation Center will organize a series of training courses in 03 key areas (corresponding to Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau before the merger). The program is expected to attract 340 - 360 officials and civil servants in charge of information technology at the grassroots level to attend.

The core content of the training program focuses on solving 3 core issues of current digital infrastructure:
(1) Metronet network infrastructure: Analyze the connection model from the Data Center to the communes, clarify the roles of the components in the system and thoroughly understand the incident handling coordination process.
(2) Information security at the Data Center: Guidelines for the exploitation of shared resources (virtual servers, storage...) and strict data security measures.
(3) Online Conference System: Standardize the process of organizing online meetings from technical preparation to the end of the meeting, ensuring the quality of direction and management of City Leaders.
The program implementation plan is divided into 3 phases:
- Phase 1 (December 5, 2025): At Digital Transformation Center Region 1, No. 36 Trinh Hoai Duc, Phu Loi Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
- Phase 2 (December 9-10, 2025): City Press Center, Building 255 Tran Hung Dao, Cau Ong Lanh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
- Phase 3 (December 19, 2025): Digital Transformation Center Region 2, No. 03 Nguyen Tat Thanh, Ba Ria Ward - Ho Chi Minh City.
