Ho Chi Minh City deploys software to manage People's Council meetings at commune, ward, and special economic zone levels

The Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council has deployed software to manage People's Council meetings at commune, ward and special economic zone levels, a breakthrough in innovating working methods, improving the effectiveness of supervision activities, serving voters' contacts and activities at People's Council meetings at all levels.

On the morning of November 12, the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council held an online conference to deploy session management software to 168 People's Councils of communes, wards, and special zones.

Speaking here, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council Vo Van Minh said that the software deployment is a specific and practical step in implementing Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation. Thereby, demonstrating the pioneering spirit of Ho Chi Minh City in comprehensive digital transformation of the government system, including the People's Councils at all levels.

This software is expected to make the activities of the People's Council at two levels in the city operate smoothly, continuously, effectively, and serve the people and businesses well - in line with the spirit of "digital transformation for the people" as set out in Resolution 57.

This software system is designed to connect data between the City People's Council and the Commune People's Council, helping to synthesize information quickly, accurately, and transparently, better serving the leadership, management, and monitoring of the implementation results of the People's Council's resolutions.

The Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council emphasized that although it is a "trial" phase, all data entered in this phase is real data, serving real work.

Once completed, this software will become a unified system for the entire city. Commune-level People's Councils need to consider this a key task in the fourth quarter of 2025, in conjunction with preparations for the regular year-end meeting; the software's operational results are a specific criterion in evaluating the performance of the Standing Committee of Commune-level People's Councils in the 2025-2026 period.

“We are in the testing phase but we must test with the spirit of real use, real data, real efficiency. All data entered into the system will be directly connected with the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council - this is a unified digital parliament management platform. The city will not re-deploy another system, but upgrade directly on this platform, so all localities need to seriously, accurately, promptly deploy, ensuring data quality from the beginning" - Mr. Vo Van Minh said.

At the same time, he affirmed that the deployment of software to manage today's session is not only a transformation in technology, but also a transformation in management thinking and working methods, towards a digital People's Council, a digital parliament, to better serve the people.
