Before officially closing, all the competitions entered the final round with outstanding professional quality. This year, with the scale of 8 continuous competition fields and more than 800 matches, the tournament recorded a fierce but fair and professional level of competition.
In particular, the professional quality in the quarter-finals and finals increased significantly, not only in the older age groups but also in the U.9 and U.11 groups, who had performances that surprised the audience.
According to the evaluation of the organizing committee and experts, the quality of athletes this year has made a strong step forward. The speed of movement, competition tactics and especially the spirit of the students have all improved significantly compared to previous seasons.
At a young age, the audience witnessed many delicate, tenacious and skillful moves in each shot, which is rare at this age. Notably, some young athletes in the U.13 and U.15 age groups have shown clear qualities, promising to be new seeds in the next generation of Vietnamese badminton.
This is also a testament to the effectiveness of youth training in localities, while affirming the role of the playground in selecting and discovering talents for the national team.
Thai Binh badminton breaks through
Closing this year's season, the Ho Chi Minh City delegation continued to maintain the top position with a total of 5 gold medals, spread evenly across age groups and events: U.11 men's singles, U.11 men's doubles, U.15 men's singles, U.15 men's doubles and U.17 men's doubles. With a large number of athletes, stable performance and a systematic training system, the Ho Chi Minh City delegation proved its role as a "locomotive" in the development of youth badminton nationwide.
However, the highlight of this year is the impressive breakthrough of the Thai Binh delegation. With 4 gold medals won from the events: U.13 women's singles, U.13 women's doubles, U.17 women's singles and U.17 women's doubles, Thai Binh surpassed many strong units such as Lam Dong and Bac Giang to rise to second place overall.
The rise of localities such as Thai Binh or the stability of Bac Giang is a clear demonstration of the trend of investing evenly, in depth and systematically in youth training in many regions, contributing significantly to improving the general level of Vietnamese youth badminton. As the main sponsor, DONEX always accompanies and supports in all organizational work, contributing to creating a well-organized, professional and systematic season.
