The People's Committee of Hue City has just issued a plan to implement the Project on promoting, marketing and developing the market for OCOP products in the period 2025-2030, with the orientation of building OCOP into a group of distinctive products with high competitiveness.
Accordingly, the period from 2026 to 2030 will focus on promoting and building brands, expanding consumer markets, and enhancing trade promotion capacity in a professional, modern, and sustainable manner. The overarching goal is to form an OCOP value chain linked to Hue's culture, tourism , and traditional craft villages.
The city also focuses on supporting OCOP (One Commune One Product) businesses to improve their production and business capabilities, strengthen supply and demand connections, and gradually bring Hue's OCOP products to domestic and international markets.

Regarding specific targets, Hue strives to increase domestic consumption by at least 25% through a modern distribution system and key consumption channels. Simultaneously, it aims to develop a network of OCOP product showrooms and sales points linked to tourism and traditional craft villages, and strengthen its presence in supermarkets and e-commerce platforms.
By 2030, the goal is to have at least 80% of OCOP (One Commune One Product) businesses list their products on digital platforms such as Shopee, Lazada, TikTok, and Hue-S, improving quality, standardizing packaging, and increasing the percentage of products achieving 4-5 star ratings, with the aim of having at least 3 products achieving 5-star national-level recognition.
To realize these goals, the plan outlines several synchronized solutions: developing products linked to local values, strengthening communication and promotion, trade promotion, market expansion, supporting access to credit, applying science and technology and digital transformation, training and capacity building for OCOP producers, mobilizing resources, and improving support mechanisms and policies.
With clear direction and a comprehensive system of solutions, the plan not only contributes to enhancing the value and competitiveness of Hue's OCOP products but also opens up opportunities for sustainable development for participating entities. This is considered an important step in linking OCOP products with tourism, culture, and the local economy, gradually establishing the Hue OCOP brand on the domestic and international map, and making a positive contribution to the city's socio-economic development goals in the new phase.
To date, Hue City has 118 recognized OCOP products, including 1 product that achieved 5 stars at the national level, 21 products that achieved 4 stars, and 96 products that achieved 3 stars.
