According to the representative of the Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police, the traffic order and safety situation in the city has been complicated recently. Violations of alcohol and drug levels tend to increase. This is one of the direct causes of serious accidents.
Faced with the above situation, the Board of Directors of Ho Chi Minh City Police Department directed the Traffic Police Department to organize a campaign to handle violations of alcohol and drug concentrations.
Lieutenant Colonel Pham Quang Truong, Deputy Head of the Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police, said that the goal of this campaign is to reduce traffic accidents throughout the area, especially accidents related to alcohol and drug violations. The spirit of handling violations is no forbidden zones, no exceptions. Ho Chi Minh City Police Traffic Police will record the entire process of handling alcohol and drug violations.
After the launching ceremony, the teams and groups deployed synchronous patrol measures combined with disguise and publicity, and increased inspection during rush hours and weekends, times when there is a high risk of alcohol concentration violations.
When checking and handling violations, the entire process of performing the task will be recorded, using alcohol concentration measuring equipment in quantitative mode, and vehicle management via GPS positioning to ensure publicity, transparency, and prevent negativity and violations.
