On the evening of November 28, the Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City Urban Infrastructure Construction Investment Projects inaugurated and put into operation the architectural lighting project for 6 conservation works including: Thu Ngu Flagpole, Mong Bridge, City Children's House, Ben Thanh Market, Ho Chi Minh City Museum and Ton Duc Thang Museum. The works were completed 2 months ahead of schedule, welcoming the 14th National Congress of the Party.

The project has a total investment of nearly 50 billion VND from the city budget, implemented in the period 2023-2025. The installation of a new lighting system aims to upgrade the night landscape, honor the historical and cultural values of the relics and create more tourist attractions for the central area.
Mong Bridge lighting system includes 414 sets of LED art lights, 200m of LED string lights, and 12 decorative light poles. The City Children's House lighting system includes 550 LED lights, 362m LED string lights, 64 decorative light poles. The lighting system of Ho Chi Minh City Museum includes 346 LED lights, 10m LED string lights, 9 decorative light poles...

Construction started on June 12, 2025 with an estimated construction time of 210 days, and all lighting installations were completed before November 8, 2025. The progress exceeded the plan thanks to the efforts of the contractor and close coordination between heritage management units.
According to the Project Management Board, the new lighting system not only enhances the urban beauty, creates an attractive community living space but also contributes to promoting the image of Ho Chi Minh City to domestic and foreign tourists. The works after being illuminated become highlights to attract visitors, contributing to promoting tourism and cultural activities in the central area.

Immediately after the inauguration ceremony, the units will continue to complete the acceptance work, report to the Department of Construction and hand over to the competent authorities for management and exploitation according to regulations.
