
Speaking at the reception, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc expressed his pleasure in welcoming Minister Aukje de Vries, and believed that the visit would open up many new cooperation opportunities between Ho Chi Minh City and the Netherlands in the coming time.
Comrade Nguyen Van Duoc said that after the administrative restructuring, Ho Chi Minh City is oriented to develop into a center of digital industry, high technology, financial services and innovation...; Ba Ria - Vung Tau and Binh Duong areas are oriented to develop marine economy, tourism, clean energy and industry.

Comrade Nguyen Van Duoc affirmed that with the new development space, Ho Chi Minh City hopes that Dutch enterprises will expand their investment in areas such as green growth, high technology, water management and flood prevention, climate change response, semiconductor industry, and airport infrastructure development. The city also hopes to share experiences and cooperate with the Netherlands in seaport development and logistics capacity building.
Minister Aukje de Vries thanked the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City for always creating favorable conditions for Dutch businesses to operate in the city. Appreciating the investment environment and development potential of Ho Chi Minh City, Ms. Aukje de Vries said that the two sides have many favorable conditions to expand cooperation in areas where the Netherlands has strengths such as high-tech agriculture , logistics, climate change response, green transformation and sustainable development.

At the meeting, the two sides discussed future cooperation plans, including sharing data on seaport operations, inland waterway development and green transport, towards promoting a more substantive and effective partnership between Ho Chi Minh City and the Netherlands.
