
In the program taking place on the weekend of December 6 and 7 at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism (Doai Phuong commune, Hanoi city), the Co Tu people of Song Kon commune recreated unique traditional cultural values.
Mr. Po Loong Jop, Vice Chairman of Song Kon Commune People's Committee said: "Immediately after being selected by the Danang Cultural - Cinema Center to represent the city to participate in this activity, the artists and actors focused on preparing carefully and practicing enthusiastically. Everyone was determined to bring all their experience, talent and coordinate closely, taking advantage of time to complete the program in the best way to perform, in order to honor, promote and introduce the typical features and traditional cultural values of the Co Tu ethnic group".
More than 30 Co Tu artisans and extras in colorful traditional costumes, combined with the resounding sound of drums and gongs, performed a program imbued with the cultural identity of the Co Tu people.

With the theme "Great Unity - Cultural Quintessence of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups", the cultural experience program includes many activities: traditional ritual performances: reenactment of the Twinning Ceremony (prôngooch); folk song and dance performances with the theme "Echoes of the Great Forest" with 4 acts: Dance (tăng tung - da dá), duet (antique singing), ensemble (drums and gongs), folk dance (good harvest); preparation and introduction of traditional cuisine .
Village elder Priu Thien (71 years old) said: “I am very proud to participate in the activities reenacting the Twinning Ceremony - the cultural beauty of the Co Tu community. This is a ritual with sacred meaning in community life, helping visitors understand the tradition of solidarity, love and community spirit typical of the Co Tu people”.
As a young person participating in this delegation, Mr. Zơđêl Vy, Head of Bhơ Hòông village, shared: “On this trip, I learned many interesting things, especially how to promote and introduce cultural identity to apply in my village in the coming time. We are proud to gather here to introduce, recreate and spread the customs, practices and unique traditional culture of the Cơ Tu ethnic group. This is also a way to preserve, promote and promote the good cultural values of Vietnamese ethnic groups in general.”

An interesting activity that attracts many tourists to participate in the experience is introducing and performing culinary. Using ingredients from the Truong Son mountain range, Co Tu artisans and actors have prepared and guided tourists to practice and enjoy traditional dishes such as bamboo rice, grilled meat, and croissant cakes. In addition, tourists can also learn to play drums and gongs, immerse themselves in folk songs and dances, and dance the Tung Tung - Da Da dance, a typical heritage dance of the Co Tu people.
Mr. Po Loong Jop said that this is also an opportunity for local artisans and actors to perform, exchange experiences, and enhance their responsibility in preserving, maintaining, promoting and honoring the traditional cultural values of the Co Tu ethnic group.
Ms. Chu Thi Hao, a Hanoi resident, expressed that the series of Co Tu cultural activities at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism is an ideal space for families and tourists to enjoy folk arts, customs, practices, and traditional rituals from the cultural subject itself. At the same time, they can learn and enjoy mountain and forest cuisine with many attractive specialties.
