In Decision No. 826/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister approving the Program and Project for the development of data applications on population, electronic identification and authentication to serve the national digital transformation in the period 2026-2030, with a vision to 2035, the Prime Minister requested the People's Committees of localities to coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Justice , the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Ministry of Health to research and propose solutions for "Digital Citizen Stations" to be widely implemented from January 2027.

| With digital healthcare , people can check basic health indicators using smart devices, and access consultation services, purchase medications, and access necessary medical facilities right where they live. |
This move demonstrates the government 's clear direction in bringing public services, essential services, and digital utilities directly to citizens through convenient "touchpoints" that are widely present in daily life.
Beyond simply streamlining administrative procedures, the digital citizenship development strategy aims to build an interconnected data ecosystem and personalize services to meet individual needs, particularly in essential areas such as healthcare, social security, finance, and education.
In that context, the digital healthcare model that FPT Long Chau is implementing in collaboration with relevant agencies is considered a crucial component of the "Digital Citizen Station," especially in its ability to expand the network, apply technology, and bring healthcare services closer to the people.
With digital healthcare, people can check basic health indicators using smart devices, and access consultation services, purchase medications, and access necessary medical facilities right where they live. The process is designed to be simple and convenient, shortening time, reducing travel, and improving access to services.
Located at key points of contact with the population, the Digital Citizen Station leverages its strength of being "close to the people," becoming a safe and reliable medical support point in emergency situations, unexpected illnesses, and fevers.
Notably, the application of electronic identification and authentication in healthcare services, especially in drug procurement, helps ensure the principle of "the right person - the right prescription," while also enhancing safety, transparency, and information security for the public.
Previously, Long Chau was one of the pioneering units to integrate with the VNeID platform and apply citizen data to serve the people, thereby creating a favorable foundation for the deployment of digital health services at the Digital Citizen Station.
With a network spanning numerous provinces and cities, the Long Chau system possesses a significant advantage in developing digital health support points right within residential communities. This also aligns with the strategy of bringing digital services closer to people through a decentralized, convenient, and user-friendly model.
Experts believe that digital healthcare has the potential to become a crucial link in the future digital citizenship ecosystem. Here, people can not only purchase medicine but also access health advice, manage electronic medical records, receive digital health identification support, monitor health indicators, connect with remote medical consultations and treatments, or access preventive care services.
In the context of rapidly increasing chronic diseases and a trend towards younger age groups, the need for proactive health management is growing. This requires a significant shift in the healthcare system from a treatment-oriented mindset to a preventative one, and from centralized diagnostic and treatment-based approaches to continuous healthcare within the community.
This is precisely the gap where digital healthcare models can make a significant impact. If seamlessly integrated with the national population data and electronic identification platform, future digital healthcare models could help people access healthcare services faster, more personalized, and significantly reduce paperwork.
It is known that, during the period 2026-2030, the Program for the Development of Population Data, Identification and Electronic Authentication to Serve National Digital Transformation, with a vision to 2035, will focus on implementing six key objectives to promote the development of population data, identification and electronic authentication to serve national digital transformation.
The target groups include facilitating administrative procedures and providing online public services; promoting the development of the digital economy and digital society; developing digital citizens; expanding infrastructure and improving the data ecosystem; ensuring social security and public order; and simultaneously serving scientific research and innovation.
According to the plan for 2035, Vietnam aims to become a comprehensively and sustainably developed digital nation, where all transactions between citizens and the government are conducted in the digital environment.
National databases, with population data as their core, will be connected, shared, and effectively utilized to serve the development of smart governments and support real-time data-driven decision-making.
Citizens will benefit from personalized, automated, and convenient digital services tailored to their individual needs. Data and digital technology will be widely applied in fields such as healthcare, education, transportation, agriculture, justice, and security.
The program also aims to place Vietnam among the top 50 countries in the world for innovation and digital transformation, while becoming a key data connectivity and digital industry development hub in the Asian region.
