Tram Than develops a model for growing honey pineapples on hilly land.

In order to effectively exploit the potential of hilly land and increase people's income, Tram Than commune is promoting the development of pineapple cultivation in a commercial direction. To date, the entire commune has planted about 12 hectares of pineapple on hilly land, initially yielding positive economic results.

Recognizing that the honey pineapple plant is well-suited to the local soil, many households have boldly developed a model for growing honey pineapples.

According to assessments, the honey pineapple plant is well-suited to the local climate and soil conditions, growing and developing well. To ensure market access, the commune's People's Committee and households have signed agreements with import-export companies to guarantee the purchase of all the produce. It is estimated that each hectare of honey pineapple will generate an income of approximately 150 million VND per year.

Seeing the effectiveness of the model, the Farmers' Association of the commune continued to mobilize and encourage members and the people to register for new planting and expand the area. It is expected that by the end of 2026, the entire commune will have planted approximately 20 hectares of new trees.

This is a new model that yields high economic efficiency and can replace other less efficient crops on the local hilly land. In particular, this model has initially formed a new production method based on a supply chain, contributing to improving the lives of the people in line with the goals set forth in the Resolution of the First Party Congress of the commune, term 2025-2030.
