Based on the competition plan of the Vietnam national team and the competition plan of V-League 2023/24, the Organizing Committee has decided to postpone the match between Hanoi Police and Quy Nhon Binh Dinh by one day.

The 2023/24 V-League National Championship will officially kick off on October 20. This is the first season in the history of Vietnamese football to apply the time frame according to the competition system of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for club level (starting from the Fall of the previous year and ending in the Summer of the following year) to synchronize the competition schedule with Asian and European countries.
According to the schedule, round 1 of V-League 2023/24 will take place in 3 days from October 20-22 (except for Hanoi Club which will play later due to adjusting the schedule to suit the AFC Champions League).
The highlight of the first round will be the reception of Quy Nhon Binh Dinh by the defending champion Cong An Ha Noi at home stadium Hang Day.
According to the original schedule, the match between Hanoi Police and Quy Nhon Binh Dinh was to take place at 7:15 p.m. on October 21. However, based on the competition plan of the Vietnamese team at FIFA Days in October and the current competition plan of V-League 2023/24, the tournament organizing committee decided to postpone this match by one day, taking place at 7:15 p.m. on October 22.
This is the second consecutive season that the Capital team has welcomed guests from Binh Dinh. In the 2023 season, the Public Security team had an impressive debut at the V-League when they "crushed" the visitors with a score of 5-0.
In this rematch, the home team Hanoi Police suffered a loss in force when they did not have the service of defender Giap Tuan Duong (suspended due to receiving a red card in the 2023 National Super Cup match against Dong A Thanh Hoa ) and midfielder Quang Hai (injured in the calf in the match between the Vietnamese team and the Chinese team on October 10).
Also receiving suspensions in round 1 of V-League 2023/24 are Dang Van Toi (Hai Phong Club) and Le Van Son (Hoang Anh Gia Lai ). These are two defenders who received red cards in the 2023 season.
The team that has been active in the transfer market this season - Nam Dinh Steel Club will welcome the new player Quang Nam at Thien Truong Stadium in the match at 6:00 p.m. on October 22. With a series of additional personnel such as Rafaelson, Van Toan, Van Kien... the team from Thanh Nam aims to win all 3 points in the opening round of V-League 2023/24.
In some other notable matches, Hai Phong will host Hoang Anh Gia Lai at Lach Tray Stadium, while Viettel will travel to Vinh Stadium to play away against the home team Song Lam Nghe An.
After a disappointing 2023 season when having to compete to avoid relegation, both Hoang Anh Gia Lai and Song Lam Nghe An have great motivation to find victory in the opening round.
The latest match of round 1 of V-League 2023/24 will take place at 6:00 p.m. on November 24, when runner-up Hanoi FC will visit Becamex Binh Duong - a team that has made quality transfers with new players such as center-back Que Ngoc Hai and midfielder Nguyen Hai Huy.
In round 1 of V-League 2023/24, VAR referee support technology will be applied in 4 matches including Hai Phong vs. Hoang Anh Gia Lai, Dong A Thanh Hoa vs. Hong Linh Ha Tinh, Cong An Ha Noi vs. Quy Nhon Binh Dinh and Thep Xanh Nam Dinh vs. Quang Nam.
According to the regulations of V-League 2023/24, clubs are allowed to register a maximum of 3 foreign players, 1 naturalized player and 1 overseas Vietnamese player. Clubs participating in Asian Cup tournaments are allowed to register a maximum of 4 foreign players.
This year, VPF requires each club in the 2023/24 V-League to have at least 3 players of Vietnamese nationality aged 16-22. This will encourage teams to use more young players, thereby contributing to finding new talents to contribute to the Vietnamese team.
