(Dan Tri) - The match between Everton and Liverpool, scheduled to take place on the evening of December 7, has been postponed due to the impact of Storm Darragh. This decision was made just before the match started.
Liverpool are due to make their final Premier League trip to Goodison Park this afternoon (UK time). This will also be Everton's last game at the stadium before moving to their new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock next season.
However, dangerous weather conditions caused by Storm Darragh forced local authorities to cancel the match in the interests of fans' safety. The storm has triggered an amber weather warning (the highest level of warning) with gusts of up to 70mph in areas around Merseyside.

In a statement from Everton, following a meeting of the safety advisory group at Goodison Park involving officials from both clubs, Merseyside Police and Liverpool City Council, the decision was taken to postpone the match.
"Due to the risk to safety in the local area due to strong winds and the high wind warning remaining in effect until 6am Sunday morning, today's match has been postponed for safety reasons," the statement said.
Everton also apologised to fans for the inconvenience and thanked them for their understanding. "While we understand this will be deeply disappointing for our supporters, the safety of our fans, staff and players is of paramount importance," the club said.
Information on the rescheduled match date will be announced in due course. All tickets purchased for today's match will remain valid for the rescheduled match.
