A source from Korea revealed that Apple is testing a battery with a capacity of 5,400-5,800mAh. This battery capacity is significantly higher than the 5,088mAh capacity on the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
Meanwhile, Instant Digital account confirmed that the battery on the foldable iPhone will definitely have a capacity of over 5,000mAh.

For comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 has a 4,400mAh battery, the Google Pixel Fold has a 4,821mAh battery, and the Honor Magic V5 has a 5,820mAh battery. Meanwhile, the Vivo X Fold 5 has a 6,000mAh battery, the largest in the foldable phone segment.
Some previous leaks said that the foldable iPhone will have a selfie camera integrated under the screen. This camera will have a resolution of 24MP and be placed on the inner screen.
This design helps to provide a flawless screen experience. However, one of the problems with this technology is that the photo quality is not good enough.
Sources in the supply chain revealed that Apple is taking longer than expected to refine issues related to the design as well as the screen hinge, so the device's launch time will be pushed back to spring 2027, the same time as the iPhone 18e.
In a report shared by analyst Jeff Pu, the foldable iPhone will have a frame made from a mixture of titanium and aluminum.

Apple is also said to continue to expand the use of titanium materials on its product lines such as the iPhone Fold and iPhone Air. Some previous rumors revealed that the foldable iPhone will be 4.5mm thin when opened. This thickness is even thinner than the iPhone Air.
According to TrendForce , the foldable iPhone will be equipped with a 7.8-inch inner screen and a 5.5-inch outer screen. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said the crease on the device's screen will almost disappear.
