Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Anh Quan inspected the decoration of flowers and ornamental plants for the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Horse in the city center.

On February 11th, Comrade Le Anh Quan, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, inspected the implementation of flower and ornamental plant decorations for the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026 at the traffic island at the intersection of Truong Chinh and Vo Nguyen Giap roads (Tu Minh ward); the Eastern Cultural Center (Le Thanh Nghi ward); Bach Dang Park peninsula (Hai Duong ward); the city center strip (Hong Bang ward); To Huu flower garden and the area of ​​the City Political and Administrative Center (Thuy Nguyen ward...).

Comrade Le Anh Quan requested the Department of Construction to coordinate with localities to continue strengthening the decoration of flowers and ornamental plants in key areas; and to research innovative decoration methods to ensure aesthetic appeal, artistry, modernity, and suitability for the expanding urban space.

Over the past decade, Hai Phong city has expanded its urban space. Previously, decorative and cultural activities were mainly concentrated around the City Theater area and some squares in the western part of the city – locations with traditional significance that continue to be maintained.

However, to meet the development requirements in the new area after the merger, the city invested in decorating and organizing art programs and fireworks displays concentrated in the city's Political-Administrative Center, serving a large number of people from the eastern and western parts of the city who came to visit, sightsee, and participate in activities during the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Horse.

In particular, this year the city is organizing a large-scale, high-quality New Year's Eve art program and fireworks display. Choosing the City's Political and Administrative Center as the venue, with its spacious area and comprehensive infrastructure, will create favorable conditions and effectively meet the needs of the entire city's population for celebrating the Lunar New Year.
