The momentum from this project will spread strongly, contributing positively to the overall growth of the country. Because the quality and efficiency of Long Thanh airport will be a greeting and invitation from Vietnam to international partners and investors in the new development stage.

Therefore, Dong Nai needs to be carefully prepared; at the same time, at the regional and national level, it is also necessary to create stronger and more breakthrough "leverage" in terms of institutions, infrastructure and human resources.

Dong Nai is currently a locality with abundant internal resources, large population and economy , ranking fourth in the country - only after Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Hai Phong - higher than Da Nang, Can Tho, Hue. After the boundary arrangement, it is expected that by 2025, Dong Nai will still maintain its fourth position in budget revenue, affirming its role as an industrial center and an attractive destination for investors.

However, while Hanoi has the Capital Law, localities such as Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Nghe An... all enjoy special mechanisms, Dong Nai is still "struggling in the old shirt". After Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau merged into Ho Chi Minh City and applied separate policies according to Resolution 98/2023/QH15 (currently being revised and supplemented to suit reality), the development gap in the region is more evident, putting Dong Nai in urgent need of innovation in mechanisms to attract investment capital and promote sustainable growth.

When the Southeast region has 3 remaining provinces, forming a development triangle (Tay Ninh - Ho Chi Minh City - Dong Nai), this is the time to give Dong Nai a "special key" - enough to open the doors to investment, infrastructure, land, human resources and attract strategic investors.

In connection with Ho Chi Minh City, the economic axis of Ho Chi Minh City - Binh Duong - Dong Nai - Ba Ria Vung Tau has long had the leading growth rate in the country. Currently, key projects such as the metro connecting Suoi Tien with Bien Hoa - Dong Nai, bridges and strategic routes connecting the two localities are being implemented, requiring a mechanism commensurate with internal development potential.

Ho Chi Minh City is prioritizing the fields of education and health, along with the "pillars" of the International Financial Center and the International Innovation Center, so the city needs to expand the space for cooperation and market diffusion with Dong Nai in the fields of services, finance and human resources.

And certainly, from Tan Son Nhat gateway to Long Thanh gateway is not only an aviation connection but also a parallel transportation, logistics and urban network. Therefore, when Ho Chi Minh City continues to amend and supplement Resolution 98 to suit the reality, Dong Nai also needs a specific resolution - approaching Resolution 98 - to open the door to development for the entire Southeast region.
