On the afternoon of November 13, the Ho Chi Minh City Public Transport Management Center (Department of Construction) held a closing ceremony and awarded the "Urban Symbol - Connecting Mark" logo/emblem design contest, attended by representatives of departments, branches, and sectors, the jury, along with many contestants and guests.

According to the Organizing Committee, the competition takes place during a period when Ho Chi Minh City's public transport system is undergoing a strong transformation, with the expansion of its management scope to the former Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau areas, towards a regionally linked and synchronous infrastructure operation model.
In this context, the search for a unified, modern and highly recognizable logo is essential – to represent the entire system of vehicles, stops, tickets and digital platforms of urban public transport.

In the final round, the 10 best works were presented and defended before the jury. The entries were evaluated comprehensively on design thinking, creativity, applicability, presentation and debate skills, and the level of influence in the community.
The Organizing Committee awarded 11 prizes to recognize and encourage outstanding ideas, including: Architect Ly Tran Thuan, residing in Phu Long Thanh Hamlet, Tra On, Vinh Long Province, won the first prize worth 100 million VND, along with a souvenir cup and certificate.
In particular, the first prize winning work will be further improved by the Ho Chi Minh City Public Transport Management Center to become the official logo for the entire Ho Chi Minh City public transport system, appearing on vehicles, stops, tickets and travel applications.
Speaking at the award ceremony, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Public Transport Management Center Pham Ngoc Dung affirmed: “The competition is not only a playground for design lovers, but also a testament to the spirit of putting people at the center of planning and developing urban public transport. Each work is a creative perspective, contributing to forming a new symbol for a connected - modern - sustainable city”.
