Speaking at the ceremony, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh emphasized that this is the third year the Award has been organized online on the Vietnam Image Promotion Platform - Vietnam.vn, with the goal of encouraging all citizens in the country, the Vietnamese diaspora abroad, and international friends to create photos and videos about Vietnam and its people using modern digital tools.

After three years of organization, the Award has transcended the boundaries of a traditional photo and video contest to become a national-level award, attracting nearly 40,000 entries. Outstanding and representative works have been exhibited in many locations across the country: from Dien Bien Phu, celebrating 70 years of glorious victory, to Hanoi, resplendent in the spirit of 80 years of National Day, from dynamic Hai Phong to vibrant and energetic Ho Chi Minh City.

Not only within the national scope, the artworks have also been introduced to international friends through exhibitions and cultural events in Sochi (Russian Federation), Bangkok (Thailand), Venezuela, Australia, Sweden, and will soon be present in Chile, Hungary, Finland, Brunei, etc. 97 Vietnamese diplomatic missions abroad have also incorporated these artworks into their national image promotion activities, contributing to the strong dissemination of the message of a peaceful, humane, and culturally rich Vietnam.

Permanent Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh delivered a speech at the awards ceremony.

Returning to this year's Awards, Permanent Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh stated that after more than four months of launching the campaign, the Organizing Committee received 17,000 photo and video entries – a 1.7-fold increase compared to 2024. With a sense of responsibility and impartiality, the Judging Panel selected 36 winning entries, along with 150 outstanding photos and 29 outstanding videos for exhibition.

Each artwork is a true snapshot of life, a beautiful moment capturing the transformation of the country. All these elements blend together to create a vibrant picture of a happy, civilized, and culturally rich Vietnam, strongly rising on its journey of integration and development.

"What's special is that the authors come from different professions, different age groups, different regions and ethnicities; they use different equipment, from professional to simple. But they all meet at one common point: a deep love for the homeland and a desire to convey the image of a peaceful, beautiful, dynamic, and happy Vietnam to the world," Permanent Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh expressed.

The annual media award on human rights, themed "Happy Vietnam 2025," aims to mobilize widespread participation from people in Vietnam, overseas Vietnamese, and international friends in creating photos, videos, or innovative ideas, telling inspiring stories, and sharing meaningful discoveries on the theme of "Happy Vietnam," thereby contributing to spreading positive images of Vietnam and its people.

At the same time, the award also contributes to promoting and spreading the precious cultural and historical traditions of the nation, as well as the socio-economic development achievements of the country, to a wide audience both domestically and internationally, contributing to enhancing the prestige and position of the nation on the international stage.

In 2025, Vietnam will rise 8 places compared to 2024 and 19 places compared to 2023, ranking 46th in the world in the happiness index. This milestone reflects the international community's recognition of Vietnam's policies, achievements, and efforts to ensure human rights over the past years.

Through this award, the Organizing Committee aims to convey a message about Vietnam's rapid and comprehensive development in all fields: breakthroughs in science and technology development, national innovation and digital transformation; international integration in the new context; innovation in lawmaking and enforcement; and rapid, sustainable, efficient, and high-quality development of the private economy.
