ISO/HACCP certification awarded to 8 small and medium-sized enterprises.

On the afternoon of January 16th, the Department of Agriculture and Environment held a conference to award ISO/HACCP certificates to 8 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to be implemented in 2025.

During the implementation of the plan to support SMEs in the province in 2025, the Department of Agriculture and Environment surveyed 12 enterprises. From this, 8 enterprises meeting the set criteria were selected for support, including: 5 enterprises producing and trading coffee; 1 enterprise producing and trading bird's nests; 1 enterprise producing and trading cashew nuts; and 1 enterprise producing and trading seafood.

Specialized agencies and consulting units have conducted numerous assessments and provided guidance on HACCP standards; built hardware systems according to HACCP requirements; developed methods for updating and recording monitoring forms during the production process; implemented internal audits and other aspects as required by the standard…

Through the implementation and monitoring process, businesses have basically met the hardware requirements such as: worker conditions, factory facilities, equipment and machinery, factory hygiene, and the maintenance of records and documents as required. Some areas that did not meet the standards were quickly and promptly rectified; some stages of production were invested in and renovated to be more modern and spacious…

The specialized agency also conducted tests on 40 samples of raw materials and finished products from 8 businesses. The test results showed that all 40 samples met the required standards.

At the conference, the Department of Agriculture and Environment awarded ISO/HACCP certificates to 8 SMEs , including: K7 Coffee Co., Ltd. (Ea Kao ward), Thanh Hoa Seafood Processing and Export Co., Ltd. (Tuy An Nam commune), Duc Thinh Co., Ltd. (Ea Knop commune), STRONGNEST Joint Stock Company (Buon Ma Thuot ward), Trung Dung CAFE Co., Ltd. (Quang Phu commune), Le Son Coffee Trading and Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (Ea Kar commune), Huong Huong Phu Trading and Service Co., Ltd. (Binh Kien ward), and Moc Nguyen Ban Me Co., Ltd. (Buon Ma Thuot ward).

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, Dang Thi Thuy, emphasized: ISO/HACCP is one of the advanced food safety management systems, widely recognized worldwide . Applying and obtaining ISO/HACCP certification not only helps businesses tightly control hazards during production and processing, thereby contributing to improving product quality and protecting consumer health; but also helps businesses increase their reputation, competitiveness, and expand their markets, especially export markets.

Therefore, businesses that have been certified need to continue to strictly comply with the requirements of the ISO/HACCP system throughout the production and business process; regularly review, update, and improve processes, enhance quality management and food safety capabilities; and proactively coordinate with state management agencies in inspection, supervision, and professional guidance.

The Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment also expressed his hope that businesses would continuously improve product quality, enhance brand recognition, and expand the province's agricultural, forestry, and aquatic products to the domestic market and reach more demanding export markets.
