Granting scholarships and raising awareness about cybersecurity for students in western Lam Dong province.

On January 13th, the Provincial Association for the Promotion of Learning and the PA05 Department of the Lam Dong Provincial Police jointly organized a scholarship awarding ceremony for underprivileged students with good academic achievements and conducted a cybersecurity awareness campaign for students and teachers in the communes of Truong Xuan, Duc An, Dak Song, Thuan Hanh, Tuy Duc, Quang Truc, and Quang Tan.

Representatives of the Lam Dong Provincial Association for the Promotion of Learning and the local government of Dak Song commune awarded scholarships to poor students who overcame difficulties and excelled in their studies.

In various localities, Ms. Ton Thi Ngoc Hanh, President of the Lam Dong Provincial Association for the Promotion of Learning, along with leaders of the Association and representatives of the Party committees and local authorities of the communes, awarded 70 scholarships, each worth 1 million VND, to students from disadvantaged backgrounds who have overcome difficulties and achieved good academic results.

This funding is drawn from the Vietnam Children's Protection Fund to help share and encourage students from disadvantaged backgrounds to continue striving to overcome difficulties and excel in their studies.

During the program, students, teachers, and parents also listened to representatives from the PA05 Department (Cybersecurity and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department) of the Lam Dong Provincial Police disseminate information on methods and tricks used to defraud and steal property online. In particular, they discussed the newly emerging tactic of online kidnapping.

Representatives from Truong Xuan and Thuan Hanh communes (Lam Dong province) awarded scholarships to underprivileged students who overcame difficulties and achieved good academic results.

The aim is to equip students with basic knowledge to prevent, detect, and report crimes, helping them improve their online safety knowledge and contributing to protecting them and their families in cyberspace.

Officers from the PA05 Department (Lam Dong Provincial Police) discussed fraud prevention and online safety with students at Nguyen Van Troi Secondary School in Truong Xuan commune.

According to the plan, on January 14th, the scholarship program for disadvantaged students and cybersecurity awareness campaign will continue to be held in Thuan An commune, Lam Dong province. The program will award 40 scholarships to 40 poor, academically excellent students from Thuan An, Dak Mil, Duc Lap, and Dak Sak communes.
