Young Vietnamese intellectuals around the world join hands to discuss science and technology development

On the morning of July 19, in Hanoi, more than 200 delegates from around the world officially entered the first working session of the 6th Global Forum of Young Vietnamese Intellectuals, 2025.

This year's forum is jointly organized by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union , the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Global Network of Young Vietnamese Intellectuals, VinUni University, and Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Sacombank). The forum has many innovations in content, form, and approach.

With the participation of hundreds of talented young Vietnamese scientists from the world's leading institutions and organizations such as MIT, Cambridge, Google, Microsoft... and many leading domestic experts, the Forum is expected to create a breakthrough in the application of science and technology, innovation, contributing to bringing Vietnam further on the global knowledge map.

The highlight of the Forum is the focus on practicality, connecting young intellectuals with businesses and the Vietnamese innovation ecosystem. Within the framework of the Forum, delegates will participate in a series of practical experience activities, learn about the technology-education ecosystem, in-depth dialogue on green financial solutions, and a discussion on data security...

Delegates will focus on discussing four key groups of content, in which science and technology play a core role, to concretize Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on developing science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation.

Speaking at the opening of the Forum, Secretary of the Central Youth Union and President of the Vietnam Youth Union Nguyen Tuong Lam said: In parallel with organizing the annual Forum, the Youth Union and the Association also operate the Global Network of Young Vietnamese Intellectuals; coordinate the organization of seminars, in-depth research groups, policy discussions; honor and support young intellectuals through awards and specific programs.

At the Forum, each delegate will represent young Vietnamese intellectuals in their field, expertise, place of study, research and work to propose models, initiatives, technologies, and innovative solutions originating from practice, with the ability to spread widely in the community, connecting with the national and regional innovation ecosystem.

Since 2018, the Global Forum of Young Vietnamese Intellectuals has been held a total of six times, gathering thousands of outstanding delegates from more than 30 countries and territories; becoming a prestigious academic space, an effective policy consultation channel, a sustainable connection platform between young intellectuals and the Party, State and society. Many recommendations and initiatives from the Forum have been received, transferred to relevant agencies and are gradually being realized.
